“We eat here about 6 times a year, Virginia City is our home away from home, and this Cafe is our favorite breakfast place! We take the short drive down to Dayton usually on the last day of vacation, but if we go earlier in our trip we always go back the last day, as we want it to be the last place we eat before leaving! You will not be disappointed! Did I mention my favorite dish is their Huevos Rancheros! Steve's is their Chicken Fried Steak 'smothered and covered'!“

“This place is as hometown as it gets. Made from scratch menu offerings, genuinely friendly service, and the food is delicious. Then it comes to spring, summer and fall when you can enjoy this great food in the shaded patio, listening to birds and smelling the flora. As far as shady sales tactics mentioned in another review, it may have been a miscommunication and settled by a discussion instead of a poor review after the fact. I will add, I love the muffins being pushed because if not, I’d miss out on all of the clever combinations they offer. Further, they’re better early in the morning when they’re warm and very fresh!!!“

“Fun place but I pray that it was a BAD NIGHT for wings cuz they sucked,I ordered 18 and struggled through about 5, they were lacking meat, nearly burned and honestly tasted like dirty oil,they went into the trash. The ranch,blue cheese,bbq,hot & sweet heat sauces were boring,straight out of the bottle and the teriyaki wasn’t available. The beer was cold & good wine selection. Sorry but WTH happened to your wings? I heard they were great but not even edible.“

“On our way back from Yosemite we stopped for dinner at 7pm. My wife had the Cajun Chicken Pasta with blackened chicken and a dinner salad. She Sid her Mel was excellent. The chicken was so tender it could be cut with a fork. She said she would have liked the Cajun seasoning on the pasta too. I had the 12oz Prime Rib with baked potato and house salad. East Coast Prime Rib is very tender and extremely fatty. The Prime Rib I ordered he very little fat and was very firm tasting. It came with two types of butter, sour cream, cream horseradish and au jus. My meal was very filling and excellent. Our waitress Shanna was very good.“
