“Brandon made sure our burritos were packed with delicious ingredients and our drinks were perfectly chilled. While passing through, we wanted something yummy, and the burritos delivered. I called in our order for carryout, and my wife went inside to pick it up. She grabbed a Coke from the fridge, but Brandon mentioned it was just put in. He quickly found a cold Coke for her and an orange soda for me. We both got super burritos—one with shredded pork (carnitas) and one with beef (carne asada). These were some of the best burritos we've ever had. After being sick for over a week, this meal revitalized me. It hit the spot! I highly recommend stopping by for some fantastic Mexican food. Popular stop for truckers and lots of parking.“

“My new favorite spot. VERY tight seating - get used to chatting with the people around you while you wait for your food. AMAZING food and a truly authentic Mexico vibe. “This was a massive surprise how good it was! I would put this restaurant against any Mexican restaurant I ever been! The quality of food was top notch, filling portions, and delicious! I had the Birria and could not have been happier. I am stuffed and need a nap now! Even the service could not have really been better. I am really surprised that they are only showing a 4.4 star rating, that is clearly not my experience! It's a nice restaurant and the "atmosphere" may be the only place they could improve, but that isn't what I was there for. I do not put much weight in "atmosphere." The place was clean and well kept. The table we were sitting at had a bit of a loose table top from the base, but not so much we couldn't eat. Again, minor, minor, minor issue. They absolutely deserve a better rating than what shows!“

“I've been to this place several times, because it's just that good. The staff is consistently polite, and the food is always fantastic. The atmosphere even when busy is always pretty quiet. The only issue I have seen is with parking around dinner time. You might be up for a bit of a walk depending upon so just be prepared.“

“First time in, had the tamale special with a chicken taco. The tamale was delicious, very flavorful, not dry at all. The chicken taco was to be a hard shell, it wasn't crisped long enough but the chicken meat inside was good. Chips and salsa were good, we favored the green salsa over the red. My husband had the carne asada burrito, carne, onions, cilantro and cheese. No extra fillers (although they will add them if you ask).Will definitely choose to come here again over other local Mexican restaurants.“

“My absolute favorite has always been the ground beef tacos, they r definitely a classic!! I've always felt a little out of place going inside of a jimboys to eat, not here tho. The person that took our order was very nice and accommodating, they even chatted it up with my mom. I didn't get their name but good job!“

“DON'T GO TO THIS LOCATION AT NIGHT! I love the food here, the day shift is awesome, very friendly, happy and attentive to the customers....AGAIN... DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE ON FRIDAY NIGHTS! the night crew on Fridays is just blah...they skimp on everything, our large nachos hardly had the amount of ingredients of a small size nacho. The young man making our order skimped on just about everything...hardly any queso cheese, asked for extra pico, only got a standard scoop, he only put a small bit of meat in the center (again, less than in a small size nacho and we got a large, also half the amount of chips of any other large nacho we have ordered in the past. The only decent employee on the night shift is the young blonde girl, she's polite and always plesant to talk to. I don't know what happened to the old night crew, they were awesome, the guys (young men) on the new night crew are just awful when it comes to being satisfied with the food and service....they also need to be careful about insulting customers in Spanish...some of the customers (like me) actually understand and speak spanish and don't appreciate the rude comments that they thought I couldn't understand... We will only come during the day from now on, we love the food, but feel the day shift employees actually care about their customers.“

“I put in a very large Catering order, for a company meeting, the day before I needed it. To be ready right after they opened. I knew this was running the risk of it being prepared late and I was ready to go to the store and wait. However, when I arrived at 11:20, the staff was finished with the order, had it packaged very securely and efficiently, even helped me take it to my car. The food was fresh, perfectly portioned and my team was SO happy with it all. Thank you, Damonte Ranch crew for a job WELL done! Appreciate your hard work!“

“I have driven past this restaurant hundreds of times who would know that I would have this little Mexican Gem practically in my back yard. The man at the counter was incredibly polite and friendly. We bought a burrito for myself and tacos for my wife they were delicious. I asked about a drink they had, Rice water, and he gave me a free drink to go. It was delicious. I can’t wait to try other food at this place. I highly recommend.“

“I'll have to go back and get pictures but there is a fantastic yellow food truck parked outside of the BattleBorn battery at this location. Food was absolutely amazing, we had the quesabirria tacos and chicken quesadilla, meats were fresh and seasoned well. Green and red salsas were home made and good as well!Highly recommend if you see this on Google maps. First time and hoping to see this truck here frequently“

My husband has been following Roberto's Taco shop since he lived in Phoenix Arizona and we are so glad that we've been able to experience a few here in Reno.
