Kitchen 216 Reviews
I stopped here for dinner on MLK day and the food was excellent. I ordered the flame grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The sides were also very good. Everything was tasty. Even the pineapple ginger tea was better than expected. It wasn’t too sweet. The staff were efficient and friendly. The music was an added bonus - R&B from the 80’s and 90’s. And, the restrooms were clean. I highly recommend this place.
Every single time I’ve had Kitchen 216 it was amazing. I order easily online and pick it up at the time given. You definitely get your money’s worth with the portion sizes. Everything is always hot and has the best flavor. One of my favorite places in the area.

Kitchen 216 is known for flavorful and well-seasoned soul food. Visitors enjoy dishes like oxtails served with mac and mashed potatoes, which are rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The fried catfish is flaky and fried just right, while the greens and cabbage are seasoned well, with the greens having a bit of bite and the cabbage offering a buttery flavor. Candied yams are sweet with cinnamon and nutmeg, and the mac and cheese is creamy and satisfying, although some guests find it an acquired taste. The sweet jerk sauce with fried shrimp remains a favorite, and the pineapple tea is highly recommended. The owner’s attentive and personable attitude, along with welcoming staff, creates an inviting atmosphere. Guests appreciate the clean dining room, great music, and substantial portions of fresh food. Daily specials offer unique and tasty experiences. Visitors can even purchase the signature sweet jerk sauce in a bottle. The restaurant is best suited for takeout or pickup, as it does not accept cash; orders can be placed at kiosks or online.
