“I will stop in occasionally at this store and some other subways. As well as a couple other sub sandwich stores. I get a veggie and cheese. It is ok. Comparing the same sub at the 2 other sub places i go to. I have to say, subway comes in third. This is my opinion and I do not get any other kind. That is why I gave it 4 stars. If the others looked like what you see in advertising, I am sure they are very good . Subway is ok for a quick stop sandwich when needed.“

“Guys they're hoagies this is a PHILLY deli not a NYC deli and the only place in Albany you're getting a philly cheesesteak on the right seeded roll with the correct cooper sharp cheese they're cheese on the sharp hot Italian mix was cut wayyyyyy to thick though made it disgusting and I do like really sharp provolone but not a block of it and everything else on it was perfect but not having an option for hot pepper spread on door dash sucks (idk if they have it in store) banana peppers don't do it“

“Di’Bella’s is an institution in Albany - and for good reason. Di’Bella’s began in Rochester in 1918. Their bread is baked in house, their ingredients are fresh, and their meat is of a higher quality. The atmosphere is dripping in their storied history and dining in feels like dining in a working museum. The downfall of Di’Bellas is the price point for their +7 inch subs and their artificially retro vibe.

The only meal deal they had at the time of my visit was a mini meal with a 5 inch sub, 20oz drink, and chips, cookie or pickle for $9.99. For the price point, it’s a valid deal. If you want any sub bigger than that, however, it’s somewhat costly. I ordered conservatively and had the 7 inch Di’Bella Cheesesteak with a large drink and a pickle. Cheesesteak: $9.79, drink $2.99 and a pickle is $1.49. All together my meal cost about $14.27. For a more casual, laid back restaurant without wait staff, $14.27 seemed excessive. I recognize they use fresher ingredients and bake their bread in-house but there are certainly cheaper options in Albany with similar qualities.

The other compliant I have is the interior of the restaurant which was the artificial retro vibe of the tables and benches. The tables and benches need a serious upgrade. It took away from the down-home vibe they were hoping to achieve with Di’Bella’s story written on the walls. With the aggressive 2010s harsh coloring, bright lighting, and artificial retro tables and benches it seems as though the restaurant can’t decide which era or genre it is hoping to emulate.

Having said all of that, Di’Bella’s flavor is worth the visit alone. They take care of every quality of the sandwich and it shows. If you like high quality subs and exploring time honored restaurants, this restaurant is for you.“

“I was at this restaurant on July 4th 2025 during the Pure Worship convention of Jehovah’s Witness’s at the nearby MVP arena at noon this day. I do not know her name she was a middle aged woman with brown hair up in a pony, who is the fastest restaurant server and food prep person I have ever witnessed. She made sandwiches at the speed of light all by herself was attentive and polite patient and kind. She did not get flustered whatsoever even though the line was endless. This woman deserves a raise for what she did all by herself on a national holiday and a convention that breaks for lunch. I am very appreciative of her and it was a privilege to observe her in action this day.—Thank You“

“Exceptional service! Always serves my meals with a smile. I visit that subways multiple times a week and the service, food and cleanliness is consistent. The food area is always clean and organized no matter how busy it is. The veggies are always fresh. The bathroom is also well kept. There is also lots of parking in the rare of the store. Highly recommend!“

“Two thumbs up. I was in a hurry and stopped in while running errands on my lunch break. I got back to work, opened up my sub, and was horrified to find mayonnaise on it, when I did not order mayonnaise (and to say I do not like mayonnaise is an understatement).But.....I called up the shop, and they delivered a corrected (and very tasty) sub to my workplace. They didn't give me a hassle about it at all. Good on them, and I'll definitely go back. Thanks for going the extra mile (or in this case, about 1.62 miles round trip) to get it right!!“

“I absolutely adore everyone who works there. I work in the mall and I can honestly say that if anyone says they're rude... they're lying. If anyone said they're slow...they were probably busy. And if anyone said they messed up their order...the customer probably wasn't specific enough. The menu is straight forward enough for the average person.“

“I went In John my subway artist was fast and patient it looked like he was training everywhere is short staffed as they were training a new employee he managed to make my meal and it’s good to see a family oriented place we all need some patience when ordering food most places are short staffed and we just need to have some more patience these guys work hard they feed us when everything else is closed thanks guys .“
