“We're hanging out at the dive bar down the road and the bartender there recommended we come here for some good drinks. And my oh my were they good. I never believed in the science of mixology or that a mixologist was a skilled tradesmen. But the old man who made our drinks must have been the Gordon Ramsey of Bartending. Your average bartender is a frycook by comparison. I had a few of their signature cocktails as well as a Manhatten and an old fashioned; my go-to drink so I've had a lot of them from a lot of different places, and never in my decades of life have I tasted such a perfectly mixed old fashioned. It was sublime and I doubt I'll taste its equal again in this lifetime unless I find myself in Kingston again and this man happens to be behind the bar once more. He also whipped up some scratch-made eggnog with alcohol and it was exquisite.”

“Another great dinner at the Avenue. We always try something different. We have never ever had a bad meal. From the appetizers to the desserts, presentation, flavor of everything we have tried, the culinary chef to the staff, especially Morgan and Mary, the atmosphere, (you can always sit at the bar if you don't feel like sitting at a table for dinner). You need to try this place if you have not already. Only was able to take picture of one of the dinners as how beautiful and great the chocolate moose was it was gone in no time. Best ever!”

“Food was excellent, great menu of offerings, the shrink cocktail and cocktail sauce was incredible. The cod and clams dish was super delicious and would recommend. Whipped Cod starter was okay.Cocktails were great, attempted to order off menu cocktails and the bar struggled to replicate and in addition to that the bar was overall slow. Anywhere from 15-30 mins to get a single drink. Overall really loved this restaurant and the atmosphere.”

Until yesterday & WGTJ. (We Got The Juice) I've been drinking raw veggie & fruit juices for decades. I love them!! Ok. Ready plz? I was seriously in desperate need of some fresh veggie juices. I'm not from here, but I think I've lived here a few lifetimes. No joke! I opened my "Yelp" App & voila! I adore beets! I saw their Beet Juice blend. I nearly fainted in delight! It's mixed with other delicious-ness. Carrots, apples & ginger I believe. It tastes delightful & delicious! Plus it's 'disgustingly' healthy. Tastes delicious & Is Healthy? Yup! Dang. I found treasure here people! I ordered a Giuseppe Panini. Holy moly! Course I want to use my other words! It was so freakin Divine, I nearly forgot to snap a pic! Holy moly me! Yikes! I'd nearly eaten half my Giuseppe before I remembered to. Sorry, but yumm! Not completely sorry lol My gorgeous Giuseppe Panini was stuffed to the brim with chicken, field greens, I think marinated onion slices & my choice of cheese (Provolone) & a bit of heaven. Honestly! I added a side of Salad to my Panini & got the Creamy Apple Cider Vinegar Dressing. The combination of these 2, the Giuseppe Panini & side salad, was almost more pleasure than I could take lol. I'm here. So, yes. I survived lol. I also seriously considered placing a duplicate 2nd Order with them. "Play it again Sam plz!" Yum. Why did I say that plz? The movie reference? Not a clue. Delirious with hunger again I'd guess. Smiling? Good! Then my completely full stomach started laughing with me. My stomach said, "Seriously? Where ya gonna put it plz?" I laughed & said, "I don't care! Grow another stomach plz!" OMG. Yes, it was that delicious! No. I didn't place a duplicate order-yesterday. Today? When do they open please?! I'm serious here! You're offered numerous choices of spreads, dressings & other wonders. I'm going back to explore my other options of heaven here! Yes please! I added their Cinnamon Bits. Which arrived warm too. Holy moly. Yumm. These are like eating bits of air croissant/brioche, that are sliced into bite sized pieces, that have a bit of cinnamon & a small amount of melted sugar on top. Served warm! Yup. I can't eat cloyingly sweet either. These. Perfect! I love love love their paninis & side salads arrived in a top opening, cardboard box. Biodegradable. Perfect! Oh shoot, I also had their Garlic Parm Fries. I never eat fries, but these are drenched with a delicious Garlic Parmesan. Ummm. I'm just laughing here now. Soo good. I try not to eat Nightshades & only sweet potatoes in the potato family aren't a Nightshade! Worth every handful, these Garlic Parm Fries! No pics. sorry but freakin yum! Nope. I couldn't eat 1 fry at a time! I scooped up my Garlic Parm Fries by the handful. Holy moly! I could go on & on about the absolute delights We Got The Juice (WGTJ) brought me.... but I'm not you! All I Know, is I've found a New Delight in Kingston! DD delivered & I'm never gonna stop eating here! Pictures? Hmm. Of my Panini, almost half, completely gone & the side salad. But holy freakin moly. Come on up sun. I need some more & they're not open yet! Please sun. Awaken! Rise. Please”

It was a welcome treat to find books on the very topics that had been circling my mind for the last few months right there on the shelves.
