“It's a small but elegant coffee shop. The building itself is interesting. To my eyes, it looks like an old time village store complete with moldings under the roofs. Inside, there's a walk up counter with register, espresso machine, and pastry display. There's a seating area near the window and door. Bags of roasted coffee from their provider occupy one wall and t-shirts and other merchandise line the other.The coffee is very good and so are the pastries. The manicured garden patio is what takes it over the top.
I came back a second time to try their espresso. Unfortunately, the shots were over extracted which resulted in an overly bitter brew. That stuff made me pucker. I think fine tuning either the extraction time or water temperature could amend that issue. Yeah, I'm a stickler.”

“Found this spot on Google while I was upstate and thought it was worth the 20 mins drive. It was!!! The pastries are delicious, service was great and tons of options to choose from. I loved it so much I even bought a t-shirt and 2 dog baguette toys for my pups. If you’re in the Hudson Valley area, and hungry (… and rich! lol), def make a stop here”

“We were out and about in Hudson today and we were a little hungry so we stopped into kitties and I had probably one of the best egg sandwiches I ever had. I highly recommend the egg sandwich with sauerkraut. The vibe in there was very comfortable iced coffee Was nice and strong. They had a great bakery selection and a lot of local products. So if you’re coming out of the train station in Hudson, I say swing by kitties you won’t be sorry.”

“Our favorite dinner place of the five dinners in Hudson. The Gemelli pasta with Wild Mushrooms was so delicious as was the swordfish with summer beans. Both were perfectly cooked and the presentation was beautiful.

We also loved the Tuscan Kale with truffle honey and Ricotta Salada.

Service was excellent.”

“This restaurant is exceptional in every capacity! I'm hardly a foodie; I eat very simple foods during the week (eggs, real butter, olive oil, buttermilk, whey protein, Greek yogurt, etc), so when I go out to eat, I seek both a nutritious menu, more extensive meals of variety, while allowing myself to indulge too. Everything about this restaurant is excellent, and I highly recommend it! I was there Late Afternoon on Sunday, which I concluded to be an ideal time to go. Continued Success, and Thank You!”

“I ordered dinner last night since it was too hot to cook and everything was really good. Their sauce is fantastic! I got a chicken parm sub that was full of chicken and the best chicken parm I've ever had. We always get the vegan pizza for my boyfriend. It's awesome that they have that option(even if it doesn't have vegan cheese.) And they always give a ton of fried dough. They give you plenty of food and it all tastes fresh and amazing 👏”

“This brewery only serves beer, but they encourage bringing your own food. I just happened to stop in here looking for a meal, but that's not possible. I tasted two of their brews (just a taste) and both were very good. They have an indoor seating area and a large outdoor seating area. This is a great place where you can eat what you want at a low cost, and still enjoy going out!”

“We had a most extraordinary Sunday brunch at The Maker Cafe yesterday. We were there by chance, around 1 pm, and are so glad we found this lovely spot with a most attentive staff. We're not spring chickens, and we much appreciated the help getting seated, the delicious butternut squash soup, the fabulous eggplant alla parmgiana sandwich, the broccoli salad. Thanks to you all - we loved it, and we look forward to coming to the restaurant some evening soon.”

“Alleyway ice cream is truly a whole in the wall hidden gem . My wife and I discovered it today while wandering Saugerties . The ice cream is out this world and they have beautiful patio sitting area for you to enjoy your ice cream .”

“Stopped here after our hike and the beer really hit the spot. Their pilsner is so refreshing and the vibe is really nice, super spacious. They don’t sell food except for light snacks but there is a food truck nearby.”

“If I lived in the area, I would be hanging out here constantly! This is a welcoming, airy, beautiful place! Plenty of room for kids up front, plus an XXXL table which I imagine draws many folks for writing and drawing workshops! As you make your way to the food counter, you see many unique local artworks for sale and enjoyment. The large back part of the room is designed as a wonderful space for music and poetry readings, with a small stage, great natural and interior lighting and comfortable seats. We missed the Monday morning music, but we just needed a quick snack and respite at the time. Many have reported on the great food, which we will return for! We loved our coffee and our peaceful time there. Cafe' Joust is open on Mondays, as is the amazing Magpie Books which is just down the street.”

“The Red Hook diner is so good! Egg creams, gravy fries, heaping sandwiches. Can't get this at West Coast diners - they just look at you funny. The Red Hook diner never disappounts.

The chef owner, Jeff, came out to greet us and make sure we were enjoying everything. Everything was perfect. The experience here is how every restaurant experience should be.”

We had a smashburger and fries, the deviled eggs, and the hand cut chicken bites which I loved and were served with the tastiest ranch sauce I've ever had. Will definitely come back again next time we're in the area.”
