“We often go to Valley Harvest when we don't feel like cooking. Great salads and decent sandwiches - the hot dog is good too. The best thing about this place is the ice cream. Micro batches of really unique flavors. A word of caution - it does take a while for the food - lots of locals call ahead for orders or do take-out. Otherwise it's a favorite!”

“This place is amazing. The dry aged steak is on par with any of Manhattan's best steakhouses. Every bit of food was fresh and delicious, and the presentation was perfect. The portions were very generous. The atmosphere was bright and cheerful. The staff were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The chef owner, Jeff, came out to greet us and make sure we were enjoying everything. Everything was perfect. The experience here is how every restaurant experience should be.”

“You can’t go wrong—try everything and anything. We got a sunflower seed and olive loaf, kouign amann, plain croissant, and a baguette sandwich. Everything was delicious! I’ve never had a kouign amann so light—they’re usually a denser pastry. This was pleasant to eat and left space to eat a lot more ? I wish this bakery was closer to me, I’d be there every day. My husband likes to make bread and was blown away by the quality of the loaf and pastries!”

“I really dig Joust. Great, extra friendly people. Lauren and Adam are really nice hosts, always make it feel welcoming. And I must say the food is mindbendingly incredible. They had these sandwiches yesterday seriously I would go there for nearly everyday if they included it on the menu. We need way better sandwich options in this town (Catskill is severely lacking in the sandwich arts) and I'm imploring the sandwich gods that Joust will put that sandwich on the menu permanently! Maybe make it bigger so I can eat more of it! Many thanks, and truly great stuff.”

“Alleyway ice cream is truly a whole in the wall hidden gem . My wife and I discovered it today while wandering Saugerties . The ice cream is out this world and they have beautiful patio sitting area for you to enjoy your ice cream .”

“We were out and about in Hudson today and we were a little hungry so we stopped into kitties and I had probably one of the best egg sandwiches I ever had. I highly recommend the egg sandwich with sauerkraut. The vibe in there was very comfortable iced coffee Was nice and strong. They had a great bakery selection and a lot of local products. So if you’re coming out of the train station in Hudson, I say swing by kitties you won’t be sorry.”

“Great local sandwich shop! Bleu collar sammies have always served generous portioned subs and deli sandwiches, I always stop in here for my sandwich needs. On my latest visit, I ordered the breakfast bomber and it’s my new favorite sandwich! Smash burger, bacon, fried egg, caramelized onions, 1000 island, in a grilled cheese, is hefty enough to carry you through your entire day. It’s neatly wrapped and cut so there’s no mess and splits perfectly!”

One of the things that is most important to me when visiting the local stores in Hudson is feeling welcomed when I arrive and getting the sense that the crew cares about my experience. This is so true here! I stopped in over the weekend to chat with one of the owners, George, about juice cleanses. He was friendly, accommodating, interested in what I had to say and patient in answering all of my questions. I felt at home and at ease. So key! I was also impressed with the extensive and creative menu and excited to be able to collaborate with George and make up something new that fit my needs. I was also thrilled to see a used coat bin and a pay it forward program (I was able to buy a smoothie for someone in need in the future). I stopped by again today and met Tash, the other owner, and I am happy to report that she too is a amazing! Highly recommend this gem, very close to Warren St. I am very grateful for the experience here and will be back!”
