“The dining rooms are very tight, and the tables are tiny, so if you have loud or large people at your table or the one next to you, you can guarantee that someone will be less than comfortable. That being said, the drinks are good, and the specials were yummy. The desserts were definitely worth saving room for something sweet. One friend in our party was disappointed at the lack of seafood in his seafood bisque, but he said the flavor itself was delicious.Wait time was pretty quick, and the party behind us was friendly. There's a very nice hometown feel to the whole place, and service was quick, friendly, and efficient without feeling rushed. All in all, it's definitely a spot to visit again.Parking: Creative parking seems to be the name of the game. There are several driveways that can't be blocked, but after a couple of passes, you'll find a spot to squeeze in. Carpool if at all possible.”
“Definitely a gem. Ordered an iced caramel latte and it was perfection. Just the perfect amount of sweetness. Definitely will be back to order more goodies as they have a huge assortment to choose from. Highly recommend!”
“Pleasant unplanned road stop yielded a nice sit-down experience with friends to enjoy one bottle of wine during a cold day in their spacious room overlooking the vast field of the vineyard. Great stop along the way to whatever plans you made for the evening.”
“Picked up food tonight. The guy in the front of the house did it all. Took phone order, sat people, waited tables, tended bar. Cashed people by out. This guy didn't miss a beat. Where ever you got this guy, get some more people like him. Also food was good.”
“Reservation system not so great …everything else AMAZING!! Great place!! Absolutely loved everything! Good food, amazing service, great atmosphere! Love this place!! Worth the wait!”
“What a lovely experience at Flora! The service was impeccable. The waitstaff and kitchen went above and beyond to cater to my daughter who wanted a hot dog and the food was absolutely delicious. And also, the flower pot dessert must not be missed! We will be back!”
“Went for a birthday dinner with a group of 6. The service was A1. Very nice and helpful. The table was also a horseshoe shape that was nice for the group to interact. It was restaurant week. The food was good, above average. Nothing blew us away but it was good.I will go back.”
“First time visiting today. The owner was friendly and engaging. Great selection of chocolates and delicious coffees made with clean ingredients at a reasonable price. I’ll definitely be back!?”
“Great location on the water. The service was impeccable, the waitress took order for 6 people without taking notes and nailed every meal and drink. Amazing. The clam chowder was delicious although the NY steak was a little tougher than I expected, but the side of truffle fries almost made up for it.Would return and recommend as all the dishes looked great.”
“This is a follow up to our 2023 review of R., Aire at the Hampton Maid in Hampton Bays. As superb as R. Aire was during the past eighteen months, recent visits underscore that the restaurant continues to reach new culinary heights under Chef and Owner Alex Bujoreanu. In a landscape of high priced and often mediocre restaurants on the East End, R. Aire is a unique venue - a chef driven restaurant which offers sophisticated cuisine inspired by the classics of Spain - in an elegant, serene setting - and at moderate prices.Although we have previously taken note of R. Aire’s outstanding signature paellas, the “non rice” sections of the menu offer a range of equally delicious dishes - all made with the finest (and often local) ingredients and reflecting the chef’s masterful synthesis of both classical and modern influences. For example, Chef Bujoreanu offers an amazing Fideua - a short grain pasta dish cooked in the method of paella (in a paella pan) in a richly flavored sofrito. R. Aire’s Fideua is a textural wonder, served two ways - as a seafood and squid ink classic or a rustic wild mushroom and duck version. Fideua is rarely offered in the U.S. - these renditions are authentic and superb.R. Aire’s appetizers and small plate “pinchos”offer an array of delectable choices, from flavorful morsels of grilled lamb (Morunos), aromatic grilled Shishito peppers, succulent octopus, airy meatballs and a lovely heirloom beet salad. One could construct a deeply satisfying dinner from these perfectly composed small plates. In addition to the Fideua and traditional paellas for which R. Aire is known - the paellas have a perfect “socarrat” base and are cooked to order and served in individual paella pans - the non rice dishes are equally impressive. Memorable main courses include pristine local sea scallops, breast of duck, Iberico pork and a filet mignon of Wagyu beef. This is cooking at a very high level. The service at R. Aire is warm and inviting. The restaurant’s gracious manager, Grigore, provides an attentive hands on presence in the dining room; he is clearly focused on delivering the service and hospitality which has been the restaurant’s credo since it opened. It should be noted the restaurant’s wine list has continued to evolve, offering a range of wines from Spain and the U.S. and other wine regions from excellent producers - and at fair prices. In a world of formulaic restaurants and homogeneous food, R. Aire stands out for its warmth, value and brilliant cooking. Bravo to Chef Bujoreanu and his team for creating a special venue in Hampton Bays.”
“Hands-down this is the best place for ice cream on the North Fork. During the summer, there are lines down the street to get into this place , so off-season it's a breeze to get the best ice cream or soft serve. Staff are very friendly and I highly recommend this place all year round! Gave it 4 stars bc it lacks ambience (yet you will not care!!). The homemade pistachio ice cream is something you must try . And it is right next door to Funchos, another great local place to frequent.”
“Just ate dinner there. Excellent food and service. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go back. Especially liked the Jersey burger with the toot beer barbecue sauce, Applewood bacon, and cheddar on a pretzel roll.”
“Want to give a huge shout out to the owners of Chenzas Twisted Tacos! I was passing through with my family the last few evenings, but was never able to get there before close. Last night, at about a few minutes to 8pm, which is closing time, I stopped and the owners took great care of us. Anywhere else and typically you would get “sorry, it’s closing crime!” This was not the case at Chenzas Twisted Tacos! They fired up the grill, fryer, and whatever else to accommodate my family and I. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the place was immaculate. The owners took great care of us and treated us like family. We will definitely be back!”
“Great little spot, small but quaint with a delightful atmosphere. The dishes don’t dissapoint and the drinks pack a little punch. Love coming here in Fall/Winter. Cute decor and nice staff.”
“Being a Bariatric , Crohn’s patient its very hard to get proper mealsI stopped into this location and spoke with sydneyShe was kind helpful and now will be a regular customer !”
“Had a great time, love the restaurant, but the grilled chicken was over cooked this time, required a steak knife to cut through, it is usually tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. With that said, a great restaurant, highly recommend it!”
“This is one of my favorite vineyards on the island. We discovered this place through my husbands Riverhead family hometown and it has become a quarterly addition to when we visit the family. We came here for a wine tasting and were introduced to the wine club and we haven’t regretted it. The team at Macari always follows up with member concerns and is genuine when things aren’t always seamless and try to make things right in the moment when you give feedback. Highly recommend if you are looking for a wine club and you live in New York City.”
“Fantastic Polish Deli and grocery run by some really nice people. They have a big selection of kielbasa and their prepared dishes are delicious. Their stuffed cabbage was fantastic with so much flavor. The pigs knuckle was also extremely good if you're into that. There was also a large pastry section that I'm going back to check out.”
“Had a great brunch with my mom a few Sundays back. I had the shrimp and grits and my mom a breakfast specialty bowl. Also had the duck empanadas. Food and service were excellent and we had a great view of the bay as we ate and chatted. First time dining there and it was great. Bar and dining area set up With a great island vibe.”
“Unbelievable such amazing cafe does exist on Long Island. Excellent espresso, fantastic and authentic tiramisu and tres leches. This now is our coffee place for eastern LI trips.”
“Really good burgers and a good atmosphere. Great to hangout with your friends as well. It’s cash only and they have an ATM there as well just in case if you don’t come in with cash.I ordered the Bronco burger (apparently a lot of people order this burger and I see why!) and it was delicious with the side of chocolate milkshake!”
“Personally I had the Curry and it was GREAT. Some things could use some refining but all it all great atmosphere, good food. One of the better options on the north fork”
“This is the quintessential little bakery that you think of when you get a hankering for a delicious pastry. Everything is made in house, and if you’re lucky you can snag a few donuts on Sundays. (They sell out fast!) Happy to have found this spot and will return again and ”
“Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Long Island. Super authentic and great portions. Workers were really nice and the restaurant itself was really clean. Will be coming back ?”
“LOVE THIS PLACE! Whenever I'm out east I make it a point to come to this deli for lunch! Everything on the menu is great! The staff is extremely nice, welcoming and friendly. And it is always immaculately clean!”
“My first visit to Jerry and the Mermaid was nothing short of magical. Nestled along the seaside, this charming restaurant boasts not only impeccable food but also a breathtaking setting that instantly transports you to a coastal paradise. From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that made us feel like longtime regulars, despite it being our first time there. Jerry himself checked in on us multiple times, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection.Despite the bustling Friday crowd during Easter weekend, Jerry’s accommodating nature and honesty about the wait time made our decision to stay worth it. And oh, was it worth it! As we strolled along the docks, soaking in the ocean breeze, anticipation built for what turned out to be a phenomenal experience. The food, oh the food! Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and made with the utmost care. From the freshest seafood to delectable appetizers, every bite was a delight to the senses. But it wasn’t just the food that left a lasting impression. The atmosphere of the restaurant, with its cozy yet vibrant ambiance, added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience. Surrounded by the sound of waves and the sight of boats swaying gently in the harbor, we found ourselves lost in the moment, savoring each bite and each precious moment spent at Jerry and the Mermaid. In a world where exceptional dining experiences are rare gems, Jerry and the Mermaid shines brightly as a beacon of excellence. Whether you’re a local or a visitor passing through, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at this seaside paradise. You won’t regret it!”
“Every dish we ordered was EXCELLENT!There is something for every palate. The owner was very attentive to all guests.I highly recommend the calamari. Try it first before adding lemon or anything. It will easily stand on its own without anything.”
“Amazing ambiance and the food is also great. Service cannot be beat! You must try this place when in Hampton Bays (which is quickly becoming a culinary destination). You must also take a quick tour of the grounds when visiting. Beautiful! Nothing bad to say about this place!”
“Went for lunch while in the area and was pleasantly surprised. I did a quick search for gluten free and found this place. My mother has Celiac and was over the moon that she could have anything on the menu! My shakshuka was good, she loved her chicken sandwich. But the star of lunch was the fried calamari. The place is cute and intimate, good music playing. We'll be back next time we're near.”
“Visited On the Docks for dinner during a quick getaway to Aquebogue and was really impressed with the food and service. I wish I could remember our server’s name, but he was exceptionally pleasant and attentive, without being annoying. The food was great too. We had the oysters (which were very fresh) and duck wings to start and then split a fried seafood platter and everything was delicious and well prepared.”
