Chicken Restaurants in Arcade, NY

“This started as a one star review. I was happy to try a kfc near by. I went in to buy a bucket. First, this place is tiny. They seem understaffed and busy. The parking lot is terrible. Giant potholes everywhere. Parking is sparse. Well I got home and my chicken was terrible. The breading was mushy and pale. It fell off most of the pieces. I ended up throwing it out. I don’t do this much, but I complained to corporate. This food is expensive nowadays! So literally 20 minutes later, I get a call from the manager (John). He apologized. He was super professional and super nice. He took down my name and offered me a replacement. I kind of forgot about it until the next time I went to arcade. So I stopped in. I saw a guy in uniform sitting down at one of the tables and talking to someone else. Kind of looked like a manager/employee type situation but I didn’t want to interrupt. He paused talking and addressed me. He said someone will be right with you. So I asked if his name was John. He said yes and I said my first name. Without blinking an eye, he said my last name. Now this surprised me. My last name is weird and not easy to say or remember. He grabbed someone behind the counter and told them my order. While I waited, I saw him interacting with employees. Dude is a hard worker and really cares. I hope that gets recognized because that goes a long way. So, they made a mistake, they made it right. And it reminds me a lot that you don’t think about the employees at places like this or the challenges they face. Finding one that cares is rare.“
