“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“I had such an amazing experience at P.F. Chang’s thanks to Rocio! She was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. She checked on us at the perfect times, made great recommendations, and made the whole meal feel special. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests.
Rocio’s energy and professionalism truly elevated our visit — she’s the kind of person who makes you want to come back. If you go to P.F. Chang’s, definitely ask for her. You won’t be disappointed!“

“They have delicious authentic Chinese food! I think here is the only place sells not only American Chinese food but also authentic ones in this area. I always go to Manhattan or Flushing for this 🫠 but they have it! I tried their dry pot and it was delicious! I felt like they tried not to make it too spicy but it was still delicious but I’m sure I can ask them to make it more spicy if I want next time.
I truly enjoyed the flavor and want to try again! 👍🏻“

“An excellent Chinese restaurant with a broad selection of upscale dishes. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely attentive. I don't think we waited more than ten minutes for our entrees and everything was delicious. The restaurant also has an attached take out side for easy pickups without disturbing patrons, which is a phenomenal idea.“

“After years of eating at all the local spots (Bamboo Garden, Peking, and New Great Wall) I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in White Plains. The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). My wife, who usually gets headaches when MSG is used, had no issues here, which says a lot. Just a heads up that it’s cash only and they don’t deliver, but honestly, that’s no big deal when you can eat this well without it costing an arm and a leg!“

“Hands down the best Chinese food I've had. I went to pace university for 4 years and this was one of my favorite restaurants. They have the best Crab lagoon/ fried cheese wanton, fried chicken and fried rice. I have tried crab rangoon at so many other restaurants and none can compare to Ons. I aways get disappointed. I was pregnant a few weeks ago and had the worst craving for the wanton. I drove over an hour to get it every time and wanted to cry tears of joy. The only downsides are that they only take cash, the place looks so old and the bathroom is dirty.“

“I discovered this Chinese restaurant one day when I was in Port chester doing some shopping and going to the movies. I've been here a number of times now. It's along Westchester Avenue where there is a selection of various cuisines. The food is delicious and it's not greasy. I love the rice, its bright yellow and full of flavor. The chicken used in the sesame and general tso are fried just right and not too hard. I personally don't eat Chinese all the time and when I do I usually stand outdoors while my food cooks because you can smell the heavy grease inside and down the street. But at Panda I'm able to stand inside to wait for my food because it doesn't smell. This is a cash only place so make sure you have plenty. The man behind the counter is nice and he speaks Spanish which is nice for the customers that visit. Its not a place really to stay long and eat because there's 4 tables. I take my food to go. They also do not deliver.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetables only dishes too“

“The drunken noodles I got with chicken and it was amazing! Just the right amount of spice the noodles are thick and delicious. You can’t go wrong with their chicken lo mein or chicken fried rice either. My son loves their dumplings and I love the shrimp shumai. I’ve been getting take out from here for years Steam is the best in the area.“

“First time trying out. Great ingredients and prep but bland flavor / no spice in food, also no tray of chili, soy, salt, or pepper at table. Also, we ordered brown rice but got white rice twice. Atmosphere - I loved the decor - comfy chairs and a great mix of table shapes and sizes and high quality wood paneling and wallpaper, but I would stop trying to be a sports bar with outdated pop playing on speakers, and focus more on food. Music can play in the bar area but not in the restaurant catering to many ages of patrons.“

“Had visited this restaurant after a lot of deliberation seeing some of the recent negative reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised with not only the taste and quality of the food, but with cozy atmosphere and warm service. We ordered the hunan chicken, dumplings, salt n pepper prawns and lo mein, and everything was spot on.. They served a dip with their dumplings which nothing like we had ever tasted before, yummy food!“
“Amazing experience at this Chinese restaurant!
The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the service was fast and professional. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for real, high-quality Chinese food. We’ll definitely be coming back“

“Not bad. Was pleasantly surprised. I had the egg drop soup, shrimp egg roll, and Beef with Broccoli. All were pretty tasty. Beef could have been a bit more tender, but taste was good. Portions were pretty good size. They only do takeout; no seating available. If you want decent traditional American Chinese Food quickly, then give this place a shot.“

“Probably the Best (Taste Wise) and Reasonably Priced Chinese Restaurant in Port Chester NY! If there is any Setback, it's the Limited Parking as there are only Nine Parking Spaces for Seven Businesses! However, there is Ample Street Parking! There is Limited Seating as the Restaurant is not very big! However, the Very Tasty and Affordably Priced Food more than makes up for these Minor Setbacks!“

“Nice local spot offering traditional Chinese menu. We ordered Pork Fried Dumplings, and these were flavorful and crisp, as were the Egg Rolls. Our entrees were the Hunan Special, a spicy dish of jumbo shrimp, crab meat, chicken, pork, black mushrooms, and vegetables, and the Happy Family with similar ingredients minus the spicy kick. Both were prepared well and fresh. We opted to dine in, and the tables were clean and well lit.“

“The food is decent. We especially like the egg rolls. 99% of the time we stop in to order our food and wait for it. I don't understand why the rice and entree is rarely hot. Most of the time the food is warm. We have heated the food up before eating it. We live less than 5 minutes away.“

“Great food very fresh - very well balanced and light - not too oily or over spiced. I struggled to find good Chinese food in this area but this was a great find. The place is set up mostly for take out and delivery - not much of an eating spot. Prices are very fair.“

“A literal, local mom & pop Chinese take-out. She works the phones, he does the cooking. No Asian Fusion, no elevated or deconstructed nonsense. The Chinese food items you've come to love, prepared well, with fresh ingredients by your neighbors. I've been eating here for years and years, and it's always good.“

“I ordered orange chicken and beef together. The combination was more interesting than either chicken or beef alone. The dish was flavorful and the meat had a light, not heavy, crust. The fried rice that came as a side dish was a tasty and not flat.“

“I've been doing take out dinner combo at 6:45 pm. Ordering online 30 minutes before pickup. Always ready, always hot. Need to get the utensils and napkins there - they don't automatically put them in the bag (which is good. You just have to know).“

“Ordered delivery from New Wah Yuan and the food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The egg rolls were delicious and the curry mei fun was seasoned perfectly. Only downside was the General Tso’s chicken, which was a bit stale and not saucy, otherwise a solid 4 stars!“

“Please ignore all the negative reviews of this place. The food is absolutely delicious! I’m a native Brooklynite & I’ve been living in White Plains for about 2 years and I am very picky when it comes to Chinese restaurants. But this place here reminded me of the place I grew up going to back in East New York. We got the Fried Chicken with Pork fried rice (duh) 10/10! Chicken was seasoned well and crispy too :) the Boneless Spare Ribs were my favorite! The flavor was phenomenal. I’m getting it again the next time I order which will probably be soon LOL. The Sesame Chicken too! 100/10! Don’t hesitate on placing your order, trust me, it’s good! :)“

“The restaurant was quiet and unassuming and the waitress was on some kind of silent mode, but the food was properly cooked and served. The salmon lunch box was pretty good, although the salmon was a little bit sapid. the sushi rolls were fine too.“

“Fairfield County Connecticut does Not have any mockmeat chinese takeout menu (the closest is New Asia- Hartford Ct which has similar mockmeat takeout offerings as this & is cheaper) so bonus points for just filling a need. Unlike other restaurants, China Harden-Rye had a whole veg/vegan menu (not just 2 lame tofu offerings like most restaurants offer) The mockmeat dishes such as sesame chikn, general tsaos, orange chikn were those fried flat, round nuggets with sauce which is OK for takeout but I can take nuggets & toss with sauce at home. I'm still searching for proper breaded seitan/tofu fried pieces that are big like non-vegan meals. There's no vegan sweet & sour pork or v- walnut shrimp which west coast vegan takeout has. && The menu says vegetarian but they claim it's vegan. Service was excellent as they accomodated my nut allergy by not putting nuts in kungpao chikn & assuring no nut oils in anything. V-beef & broccoli was delish however didnt taste like the meat-based dish & texture was excellent. Was expensive for takeout quality, we ate at the restaurant on plates & the serving size seemed smallish but food was pleasantly hot & crispy. they put relaxing musac on for our dining pleasure too. Will definitely return bc there's no other mockmeat chinese takeout place anywhere near fairfield county. Updated from previous review on 2025-03-10“
