“Such a great neighborhood spot and family owned business! I came in for lunch with my husband, and we had a really relaxing and delicious meal. It was clear that the staff was working hard to make sure that we were satisfied and happy. All of the food that we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend!“

Delicious Yemeni food, likely the best in Queens, whether sit down, take-out, or from their street grill, coupled with the friendly service will keep me and my family coming back. “All the dishes were fantastic, but my favorite was the tandoori lamb kebab, it was absolutely delicious. The exterior was perfectly crispy, yet the meat remained tender and juicy. If you love lamb, you definitely need to try it. I ate an entire pound on my own. The guyru laghman was also great, with rich and flavorful seasoning. While the other dishes might not have been as remarkable, they were still well above average. The only thing that didn’t suit my taste was their dessert. The dessert was overly sweet, almost excessively so, though that might be their signature style. As for the service, it seems like only their daughter speaks English, but her voice is quite soft, and it feels like she’s contributing to the family business out of obligation. However, this doesn’t affect anything, I’d still go back again.“

“I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. “Food here is great, authentic and always great. Service is mediocre at best. The servers don't speak English and if you are non-Uzbek the treatment you get is subpar. It is customary for serves to periodically check on the table to make sure everything is good and if there's anything else needed. But here the servers only initially take your order and beyond that you will have to put a great effort to get their attention. Overall a good restaurant but they can definitely improve their service and customer experience.“

“Butter chicken, goat doori kebab is to die for. Roomali Roti - just had it after ages. No doubt NYC has an Indian restaurant which can compete with the likes of Dum Pukht in India.“

“This was one of the top 2 dinners we had both in the City and in the Hamptons this week and was also the least expensive. We couldn’t believe they have Chilean Sea Bass kabobs, and they are only $13 or $20 for a meal. Excellent. Also the dumpling chicken broth dill soup, baklava, hummus, pickles, fries, hot tea- literally everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. As other reviewers have written, this is a hole in the wall find, and I would come all the way to Queens to eat here again! Very near JFK. Service was fairly quick, clientele mostly large families, takes credit cards. Wonderful Israeli/middle eastern cuisine in a very casual atmosphere at very reasonable prices!“

“This cart is right off the Grand Ave Station so I usually stop by on my way home.

The person working is usually different everytime I go but they are all so kind! And they really pack in what they can into the to-go container. I guess it depends on how much you eat but it usually lasts me 2 meals.

They take both cash and card which is also really convenient.“

“We drove out of town for this restaurant and it was well worth it. The mint lemonade drink has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and the food was delicious. The food is especially perfect for larger crowds that want to share food. The staff are very friendly and fast in getting your order and bringing out the food to you. I also really admired the beautiful decor inside. If we lived closer we definitely would come to this restaurant all the time but since it is a very long drive we still plan on coming at least once a month.“

“Food is always fresh. Price is very reasonable, frankly you can't find better price than this in NYC. Most of the time I get half chicken with two soup and two kinds of rice for $15. Which is more than enough for two average people. Only their service could be little better. One of my favorite food cart is NYC.“

“Always the first stop when coming to flushing. Skewers are priced well, most being $2. Takes a few minutes to freshly grill, and they taste awesome! The cumin and spices they put on the skewers is always top tier.

Parking: Right next to a paid parking lot. Free street parking on Sundays but hard to get a spot.

“Who wants to experience home food please, pay your visit undoubtedly.
Foods are fresh , prices are so accurate, services also satisfying, only their space is little smaller than others.
I loved their fish combo , their Chai, Alu puri, egg chop, kala vuna , lentil were awesome.
I don't get time to cook at home , most often I have my launch or dinner from them.
As a regular customer, I suggest everyone you will satisfy with their prices and food quality.
They should develop their biriyani and Chicken Curry but most other dishes are okay .

“I’ve been on the lookout for a great Döner shop ever since I returned from Germany years ago, and this place truly hit the mark. The service was excellent, the food was incredibly flavorful, and the prices were very reasonable. We each ordered the House Made Döner with chicken and all the toppings, and it was absolutely delicious! The quality and authenticity brought back fond memories of Germany. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine Döner experience.“

“FIRST OF ALL this came highly recommended by a friend of mine and now I highly recommend it.
The Tamarind Margarita is remarkable and as a Private Chef , I mean that! The tikka masala with Lamb met me with satisfaction I have not experienced before BECAUSE every piece of lamb was tender and cooked with care not to mention THAT SAUCE!!!!! hits different and worth swallowing. The basmati rice not a favorite of mine because too “Shelly” BUT THIS BASMATI surprised me with Ever so moist plump grains worth eating. Try the fried momos - just lovely!
Last but not least, the rasmalai is the creamiest river of Indian ambrosia from the deities I swear!
I left out 1 star because of the scan method which is a bother to me but that’s just me. Other than that fly trough the holland tunnel as soon as you can to EMPYREAN INDIAN KITCHEN- is a must!
