“Herb & Olive Mediterranean is one the best Mediterranean, strike that, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Artistically designed with an open counter facing the street for drinks and dining, a high ceiling and plenty of open space, displays of imported delicacies, freshly prepared takeout and pastries as you walk in (we were there last night and the front was open which was great) give way to a sit down eatery reminiscent of a Greek taberna. Our server Katerina was helpful, engaging, and took a genuine interest in my group. The food is perfectly prepared by Chef Phil. His tzatziki has just the right seasonings, the beet, almond, and goat cheese salad is perfect and plentiful, the roasted veggies and lemon potatoes are fresh, crispy, and light. My roasted salmon (with an extraordinary glaze) was the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. My sister loved her pesto. And, the cocktails that we had — white wine sangria and tequila with watermelon, cucumber and lime, we’re totally refreshing. Kudos to owner Julia for this fantastic restaurant. “Had a lovely breakfast this morning. Had the egg white, spinach, feta n tomato wrap. It was beautifully prepared as was everyone else's meal. Service was on point from Heidi and she was a breath of fresh air. This restaurant has been around for so many years and I'm happy to report it gets better with age. BTW the owner is a delight and greets you with a genuine smile. Will definitely be back.“

Gyrolicious is consistently serving up some of the best Greek food I've had outside of Astoria, and the staff is always very welcoming. The portions are very generous, and never lack in flavor. “What a pleasant surprise to find this place in Port Washington. The restaurant is very classy. Great ambiance. Staff is super professional and courteous, and the food did not disappoint. Ordered the lobster a la carte, and the 3 course prix fix dinner which is a great deal for $39. The lobster was perfect. I ordered the branzino, mildly seasoned but extremely tasty with rice and spinach. I also had a glass of Pinot. very smooth. This location seems to have a second floor balcony for private parties. We will most likely be coming back. It's is so worth it for a day trip.“

“The food was excellent! Had the Fried Calamari (but you can order grilled), and the Mediterranean Octopus salad. Both were good but we all really loved the octopus! We had the Mixed Grill which consists of lamb chop, pork chop, skirt steak and chicken. menu says "serves 2" but it easily fed 4, and I don't think I'll finish what I took home in one sitting! Also had the Mixed Grill Vegetable which goes well obviously with the protein dish. Had a Greek beer and a glass of Greek red wine. “My wife and I have now dined in 5 different Limani locations and Limani Taverna is by far our favorite. Relative to service, cuisine, and ambience, they win hands down. From the shrimp, octopus, and eggplant appetizers to the sea bass and lamb shank, we are always satisfied. Tried the walnut cake for the first time last night, and it was perfect. “Last night I took my 95 yo dad with my family here, our Go-To Greek restaurant and as always we had another wonderful meal. The grilled octopus, coconut shrimp and the haloumi cheese were all delicious. I had the chicken santorini for the first time and it was amazing as it melted in my mouth. “The food is always good. The service was good but they were so overbooked and busy that they could not possibly be as excellent as they usually are. I Hate to not give them an amazing review because I am a regular and always have great service and excellent food there but last night was crazy busy. We waited a very long time to sit and we had reservations for 4 at 7:40lm. We waiting again a long time to get our food order in and then they were out of bronzino so it wasn't the same as usual. “First time at this restaurant, while in town for a movie. We've been to the Avli in Bayside and this one is as good as, if not even better. We shared a Greek salad and chicken souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes. It came with soup so we had the lentil. Excellent! The portions are large so now we get to also enjoy it for lunch. Service was friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back.“
