“My husband took me to this restaurant for a date night and we absolutely loved it! When we first got there it was super packed, we thought we would have to wait to eat because it was so busy but they sat us right away and we ordered the Rotizio and they started coming around with the foods and side in less then 10 minutes. The service was so good, so attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious especially the beef short ribs. We ended the evening with their cappuccino’s and they were the best cappuccino we ever had. We loved how they did the birthdays with an accordion birthday song. We will be going back with my mother for her birthday. She would love this place.“
“I went over the weekend to this restaurant following my sister's suggestion. I want to said that she was 100% correct when she claimed that the chicken was the best she had ever had. After trying I can also attest to it, the chicken coupled with crisp veggies and flavorful rice was a good choice. We also tried the sangria and it was pretty good as well.I am planning to come back soon as there are other dishes that I would like to try.At last, the staff was super friendly and willing to please....Kudos to this new neighborhood restaurant!“
“Exceptional Portuguese restaurant on the busy Austin Blvd in Island Park. This small, unassuming locations reveals quite a treat once you walk in the door. A warm ambiance is present from the both the decor and personable staff. All of the food was delicious from the pork and clams to the meat platter. 10/10 experience.“

“I had lunch here today and it was really good! I got the grilled chicken with yellow rice and sweet plantains and two chicken and cheese empanadas.The grilled chicken and rice were good. The sweet plaintains were’t really very sweet how I like them but they were pretty good. The chicken empanadas were good and cheesy but I wish they had beef and cheese instead.Overall this is a pretty good lunch spot, and considering the area not too unreasonably priced. I would definitely go back here again.Parking: There is no parking lot. You have to park in the street.Kid-friendliness: You could definitely bring kids and your family there with no issues.“

Our meal started with delicious beef pastries as an appetizer. For the main course, my friend enjoyed the pasta a la vodka, while I opted for the grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables. We paired our meals with a glass of Portuguese red and white wine.The attentive service by Mauricio, our waiter, truly stood out. When I praised the white wine without knowing its name, Mauricio went the extra mile, bringing an empty bottle for us to photograph. He also thoughtfully changed the TV channel from loud soccer to horse riding, enhancing our dining experience. Mauricio’s timely and polite check-ins added to the overall positive impression.The food itself was exceptional, and we chose to forgo dessert. With Mauricio’s attentive service and the delectable dishes, I confidently give Madeira Sports Café a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. “Had the bacalao fritters as an appetizer. They had small shards of bone in them. We each pulled bones out of our mouths. My friend ordered the cod named after restaurant. Had bones. No where in menu does it tell you that their plate is BONE IN. Made meal unpleasant.I had lamb chops. I must say they were thinnest lamb chops ever anywhere. Usually they’re 3 double chops in every place I’ve had them. Here they’re 4 single chops so thin you can’t get them medium rare as I ordered. I’d say go but ask lots of questions.“
“Small and quaint family run Portuguese restaurant. It was a full house so reservations a must. I had the stuffed Lobster which was excellent. The appetizers were fantastic as well. Byob as they don't have a liquor license as of yet. Definitely worth checking out!!“
