“I’ve never been to a rodizio restaurant before, and I came up to Long Island to spend Easter and my birthday with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. It was by far the best experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant, the staff were professional, knowledgeable, efficient , the food is constantly hot. I would rate this restaurant at 10 star! If you’re on Long Island, it’s a must to try!“

“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“Davenport Press is one of my go-to spots for a delicious, consistently enjoyable meal. My favorite is the pistachio-crusted trout with perfectly cooked mixed vegetables. To end on a high note for me is their beautifully made cappuccino. Davenport is conveniently located just a 3 mins walk from the beginning of Track 2 of the Mineola stop on the LIRR. It's a warm, reliable favorite that hasn't disappointed.“

“My husband and I had a lovely lunch at Captain Ihab's. The mussels were outstanding and only $5. We shared the eggplant parm which was done to perfection. No liquor license , which we knew, so we brought our own spirits. We will definitely be back and eager to try other things on the menu.“

I’m personally not a big fan of “chaotic” dishes, so I really enjoyed how simple yet delicious everything was. I usually take pictures, but I forgot to take picture of any of the dishes i ate here because it was gone so quick.

Definitely recommend the scallops and octopus for appetizers and loved the orata and lobster roll for mains. My partner said he really enjoyed the burger as well!

Customer service was also excellent, from the time we came into the time we left everyone was extremely considerate and friendly.

“I came here for fresh seafood and ended up purchasing several prepared food items, since those are easy and looked well made. I tried both seafood and vegetable dishes. All were fresh and tasted delicious. I care about fresh seafood. Prices are not cheap, but with seafood, quality really matters. There also appears to be a sushi restaurant onsite, which I'll have to try next time I'm in town. Roslyn is fortunate to have several local gourmet markets and this counts.“

“I went there for my friends retirement party. It was fantastic. The food service n decor was A+. The appetizer dinner m dessert was pre selected but it was delicious n suitable. I choose the chicken cacciatore. It came was mash n long string beans DELICIOUS..The dessert was a trio of little renditions of strawberry cheesecake, chocolate moose cake. Carrot cake. And conoli . “Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“
