“We dined at the Majors Restaurant in East Meadow. Dinner was delicious. I have no complaints about that. Here is my issue. Little, but it’s the principle. My husband ordered a cup of coffee after our $158 Dinner. The coffee came and when he put milk in it, I noticed it was really dark. I tasted it. WOW it was burnt, old & muddy. I called the waiter over and asked for a new brewed cup of coffee. He came back with a cup from the SAME pot. Normally I would of just moved on & left it. But when the bill came we were charged $3.50. For 1 cup of burnt coffee? Sorry it was the principle. If you are going to charge your clients $3.50 for a cup of coffee, invest in a Keurig where every cup is fresh. You make a great margin per cup?“

“Margaritas Cafe is the place to be if you need a piña colada, and some mole chimichangas or burrito! If I’m not mistaken this is the OG, and it’s truly a fun time. It’s a narrow arcade style layout, full of color and vibrancy, the bar for you sports goers, small tables for 2 or 3, and even large tops for a whole family! I recommend the pitcher as one piña colada isn’t enough. On Fridays after 5pm, there’s an awesome gentleman who sings, make sure to give the brother a recommendation and he’ll do it happily. Music is always running here, never a dull moment. It’s Mexican cuisine, so they have foods from steak, chicken, and sea. As well as vegetarian options for the veggie peeps. The quesadillas, burrito, and chips with salsa were yummy. I did forget to order the table side guac using a molcajate, make sure to order it! Back to the mole, it was my first time ever trying it and I can tell off rip it was fresh and made in house, I left the plate clean afterwards 🤣 Food and service was quick, I will be returning soon!“

“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“I picked up food here for the first time and Auntie was so incredibly welcoming. She was happy to let me sample a handful of the dishes they were serving, all of which were delicious.

The oxtail here is just phenomenal. The depth of flavor of the gravy was such a standout. My rice and peas were covered in it and I wish I had more!

The jerk chicken was incredibly tender and the sweet and spicy sauces were a great compliment.

The fresh pine ginger drink is a must have and the homemade coco bread was pillowy soft.

The chef is an absolute pro here when it comes to salinity. The seasoning was spot on for every entree without any lingering saltiness.“

“Enormous portions, the bread and salad are excellent starts to a delicious meal. paella valenciana and lamb chops are amazing. Even my super picky, never impressed 75 year old father was in love with this restaurant.“

“We came here on time for the lunch menu (served until 3), but we were given the dinner menu instead. A few of the items that are on both menus are more expensive on the dinner menu, so it gave us the impression they just wanted us to spend more. After asking for the lunch menu they discouraged it then brushed it off, so we used the more expensive menu rather than make a scene. The Caeser salad with chicken was ok, just a little overdressed. The octopus on the specials menu was tender and tasted good. The shrimp scampi over linguini ($8 more on the dinner menu than the lunch menu) was well-prepared. The NY strip au poivre was more medium than the medium rare we asked for, and the steak was under seasoned. We’ve had better experiences here in the past. It was very off-putting that they did not bring us the lunch menu when we asked for it.“

“Wonderful Turkish run, Mediterranean seafood restaurant. To start off it should be known this place is BYOB and does not have a liquor license; However, they have wine glasses and bottle openers. Perfect opertunuty to try a nice bottle of wine from home that you would normally pay triple for in a restaurant.
This place was authentic as it gets, from the fresh fish, to the service, to the no a/c lol.
We got all fish options, which is picked daily(1am the night prior), so anything you get is fresh as they keep no fish on sight over night.
The tuna tar tar and oysters were a great start, super fresh, amd tasty.
For dinner we got the stuffed flounder and sea bass. They were both tasty, but the flounder took the prize. Was stuff with crab and a whole shrimp.
Service was super friendly. Atmosphere is nice. Place is small, so reservations recommended, place also has a nice out door patio in the back.
Definitely will be coming back to this authentic Mediterranean spot.“

All were fresh and tasted delicious. I care about fresh seafood. Prices are not cheap, but with seafood, quality really matters. There also appears to be a sushi restaurant onsite, which I'll have to try next time I'm in town. Roslyn is fortunate to have several local gourmet markets and this counts.“

“Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“

“We were in the mood for fresh seafood and decided to give this place a try, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The location has exactly the kind of waterfront atmosphere you hope for when visiting a seafood restaurant. We were lucky enough to get a table outside overlooking the water, which made the meal even more enjoyable.

To start, we ordered a couple of appetizers and were impressed with both. The shrimp appetizer was cooked perfectly and paired with a flavorful sauce that had just the right balance of sweetness and spice. We also tried a seafood cake that was packed with flavor and had plenty of crab meat.

For my entrée, I originally wanted a seasonal seafood special that unfortunately wasn't available, so I chose a lobster sandwich instead. The lobster itself was fresh and generous, and the sandwich was satisfying overall. Service was another highlight of the visit. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, kept an eye on the table, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

Between the waterfront setting, quality seafood, and excellent service, this is definitely a place I'd return to when craving seafood again.“

“We had another wonderful experience at Capital Grille. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by the manager Rick, who escorted us to our table. He assigned an attentive waiter (Turon) who took great care of us throughout the meal. Another manager, Amy, also checked on us, was very warm and friendly, and we had a great conversation with her. All the food was delicious and we appreciated the chef making something we liked that isn't on the menu. He generously treated us with a yummy amuse-bouche. Overall we had another outstanding visit.
