My only complaint is that I had Haitian Chicken over Rice, but the rice tasted unwashed ruining the dish (the chicken was still good). Other than that, I loved every other option. And there it is on the right hand side nice parking lot I go in. I tell the story and everything and ask for my sausage, egg and cheese with potatoes. They’re very friendly in there. I share the story about Perplexity. The place is a beautiful deli. It looks like they’re really set up to to make a lot of food for the food rushes around here. The sandwich comes to a little over eight dollars with a coffee. How do you beat that and it’s fantastic. Even better they have their coffee absolutely dialed in. I would come here just for a cup of coffee fantastic place.“

“Fresh meats. Special considerations with cold cuts. Especially cheese and thinly sliced meats. When buying cold cuts, there’s nothing worst then having a clump of meat to peel apart. It does take a few minutes to assure the meats are separated and using additional sheets of paper, but this is the difference in keeping or losing a customer. A true Italian Salumeria understands this and takes the pride in what and how their foods are delivered. Thank you.“

I would say that all my orders have been over the phone for pick up. Because of COVID I wont open rh e sandwhich but all of my sandwiches I have asked for cheese but everytime I get home .....there is none. Its my faukt though I know netter to watch my food being prepared and making sure all the ingredients are there. AI havent really fully enjoyed the sandwich becuae its missing a key ingredient. “I started going to Jim's in the early 90's. This would be the spot I would hit with Uniondale natives Leaders of the New School before hitting Chung King Studio in NYC to be deafened by Busta Rhymes turning those 15 inch studio speakers up to 10 🤣.

My go to was the hot pastrami on a hero. I didn't think it was a better sandwich in the world.

As the years went on, I still visited this deli. It always was a familiar neighborhood staple. It even kept the same aesthetic.

What was super impressive is they knew the regulars by name and what they wanted to order. All you had to do was show up.

I visited today and was hit with a whole new Jim's. The old cash register on the left is now a hot food station. Said cash registers now on the right with an LCD readout.

There is a coffee station in the middle of the floor. Chairs and walking space occupied this space prior. This now places a wall in the middle of the floor. Although it disrupts the Feng shui, clearly a functional because there's a lot of coffee options. That goes great with the bagel and pastry selections that have been added as well.

They have seem to expanded those pastry options. As well as added fresh bagels at 12 for 9 dollars

The worker that helped me today was very attentive and a Uniondale native as well.

The new owners kept some familiar elements like the extensive custom sandwiches brightly displayed on LCD screens. But a lot of it has changed and the new owners definitely made it their own.

It's nice to be greeted with a bright and clean establishment that sells food. That is one of the things I look for.

I will definitely visit again and see it It lives up to that Jim's legacy“

“The owners here take the time to get to know their customers, it says a lot about a deli/convenience store that has "regulars"! On many occasions, when looking for a specific item, the owner would tell me he'll order it, he's also asked if there's anything else I'd request be carried in the store. The deli sandwiches are really good, and not at all expensive. The rest of the store carries convenience store items with prices that are competitive (especially considering this is a privately owned, small business) There are plenty of chain stores in the area, but if you get a chance check out this locally owned business“
