“Since I became extremely lactose intolerant, eating out is always a disappointment. Not here! I could trust everything on the menu. I took a vegetarian friend and one with no food restrictions and we loved everything we ordered. Super friendly staff, great service and the food was outstanding. Mac and cheese, yes please!“

“I have to say you should be embarrassed at what you're serving at the fair. It was horrible! I was truly disappointed. We had 4 different menu items and NOT one was enjoyable. Its a shame you price gouged and the quality was beyond poor.“

“The food was phenomenal! I could eat here every day. I had the Kanak Attack and it was tender and tasty. The Asian slaw and the macaroni salad were both delicious. I had the Irish Red Ale and it was wonderful. Friendly staff and very attentive.“

“I may be biased after coming to this place for the last 30 something years, but there is a special vibe at The Pub that will always feel like home when you walk in. Between the original juke box loaded with the best of my memories from the 90's, to the pool table and the well poured drinks, I will forever recommend a down and dirty pop in to Essex St. Pub. And there's purse hooks under the bar! Who doesn't love a good hook to hang your bag on while you're bellied up to the bar?“

“Bobby our server did a great job making sure our first time there was a good experience. He was a pleasure to have as a server, drinks were good and so was the food. We ordered a sirloin and buttermilk chicken sandwich. My only complaint is.....why is the sauce menu so limited ?? I mean I can help longhorn come up with some sauces if needed. Dont even have to pay me up front, I'll take the royalties quarterly 🫶🏾.“

“I've been here multiple times and it never disappoints. My old self wants to dislike all chain restaurants because they took away some of my childhood favorite places. Restaurants gone now because they couldn't compete with the comfort you get from familiarity. Eat here and let go of your old self, embrace your inner dinner happy place. Get whatever you want because you're only going to live once“

“Now that's some good stuff! What a wedge salad! So many flavors and the brisket topper was moist and tender. Lingenberry wings were delicious, too. Will definitely go back next trip to town.“
