“This is by far the best Chinese takeout you will find in probably the whole New York. That includes the city. I've had so much Chinese food across NYC and a lot of them sadly fell off. Peking Garden in Brewster has held their ground for many years. The consistency of their food, and the pride they take in ownership is why they are #1. They offer menu items that you cant get anywhere else in the whole county, and the flavor is always the best. They serve the freshest vegetables and use the best ingredients to make their dishes really stand out. When I get Peking Garden I have to literally force myself to stop because it's so good that even when I'm full I just want another bite, and another bite lol.“

“Came to this Asian cuisine because of their reviews. My team from all different backgrounds HKG, JP, HI loved their food and service. They provide a very welcoming atmosphere and good menu. The food reminds me of home. Likely the best Asian cuisine you find in the area. Good taste, good price and generous portions.

Dishes we loved (didn't take pictures of everything):
- Soup dumplings: hot soup, tender pork (takes time to make, order first)
- Hong Kong Style Roasted Duck Noodle: crispy skin and great flavor duck, with the authentic 車仔麵 noodles
- Malaysian spicy miso ramen: slight kick to the broth, genius mix of Malaysian Japanese broth flavor
- Singapore Mei Fun: good portions of toppings and noodles. Loved the
- Brown sugar rice cake: brown sugar sauce not only on the outside but also inside. Got a good crunch outside and soft chewy texture inside. Just a good amount of sweetness.
- Short rib: tender and good marinade“

“This place is both amazing and delicious! We had a variety of dishes liek Szechuan dumplings, curry noodles, shrimp tempura, soup, crunchy spicy sushi, etc. ALL WERE AMAZING!! “Best Chinese food in Carmel! It was so hard to find a good Chinese place up here after moving up from NYC 12 years ago. The couple that own the restaurant are very sweet and the food is absolutely delicious. My food was being pack to be picked up when I arrived and they checked 2-3 times to make sure everything was correct and in the bag. I will always get my Chinese food from here.“

“Always tricky to please everyone, but the order for seven people I picked up at Kai’s last night contained fresh, delicious and varied dishes my family raved about. Great sauces in the beef, chicken and vegetables options. The wonton soup broth was tasty and not too salty. Scallion pancakes were a crispy treat. All dishes were reasonably priced. “I tried this spot because of the lack of pork dish options elsewhere In the area. I genuinely don’t understand some of these reviews, so far as of ordering 5 times now everything has been above and beyond..my go to is the sechuzan style roast pork. Tried the fried wontons in garlic sauce today, amazing. Great local option, they never miss an item or an instruction. This has become my go to spot in town.“

“Ordered togo, but ate while waiting for my ride. The food was fresh and delicious. Lots of flavor and not too greasy. Got chicken and brocolli in brown sauce, and it was generously coated.

The people were very nice and happy to make accommodations. The place is has tables to sit and eat. Their little decorations are cute.

“I frequent this unique place once a month since I like the good air that is characterizes this place. The crew is exceptionally cordial and experienced. The service is exceptionally fast. Most important, the food you eat is great. I visited more than once and I was always satisfied. The cost is honest. I highly recommend this place to all my friends.“

“Wonderful gourmet Chinese take-out in Mahopac and worth our 30 minute ride. Tasty not oily or over salted. The boneless spare ribs, Wonton Soup were splendid! “It was okay. We felt it was your average Chinese food, nothing to write home about.Our favorites were the crab Rangoon and the boneless spare ribs. Both were cooked to perfection.The fried wontons, fried dumplings and sweet and sour chicken were all barely warm and chewy, when we got home we had to re-heat all these. They almost tasted old. General tso was okay. Flavor was good but chicken needed to be crunchier, and we found numerous bones which was just unappetizing.Although we didn't hate it, there were good parts, we will be trying out other places in the area first before going back.“

“SOOOO GOOD! I ordered the fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, vegetable lo mein and lemon chicken. The fried dumplings were perfect and the sauce was on point. The shrimp lo mein was fresh and the lo mein and chicken were also excellent.

“WOW! I grew up in this area and never really liked chinese takeout all that much. I guess I never really had good takeout because after ordering here, I can eat this every day! My boyfriend grew up in a city area and loved chinese but hated all the places he tried here. He was so happy that we found this hole in the wall. All the food we ordered was amazing but the boneless bbq spare ribs were just incredible. Really seemed like everything was homemade, not too greasy, and just fresh in general. This will now be my go to chinese takeout spot and I will definitely be getting it more. Bonus that they have the chinese donuts, those are the best!“
