“We took my husband and dad out for Father's Day looking for a wonderful time. With any holiday you know it's going to be busy and we anticipated some wait of course. Boy we were left more than disappointed with the overall experience with this restaurant. We had a reservation on the deck, but after being initially seated inside, my husband mentioned the outside status and we were gruffly seated to an outside table. The menu looked delish and we ordered some mimosas which the waiter said came with the specials. We got the drinks right away but had to flag down our waiter to place our breakfast order. Everyone around us got bread and olives and when I asked if we were getting it he said it just for lunch, but it was brunch! Everyone around us who came before us is getting their meals and we are just sitting there. We didn't get our food until over an hour later and mine and my dad's order was incorrect. When I got up to mention this and speak to the manager, to add insult to injury the manager can't show his face, he sends another waiter to talk to us. The waiter apologizes on his behalf and says that in order to make us happy we will be comped for my dad's and my meal. We say thank you and tell him we feel horrible he was to be put in this position. We get up to use the bathroom and get things going with the check and the waiter hands me the bill. The manager is standing right there. I see that there is a charge for the Mimosas. At this point I am really upset and I say "You said that they were included". The manager then rudely gets in my face and says "No, no, no. The drinks are Not included today". I tell him that the waiter told me so and he says no again. I then give him a piece of my mind of the whole experience and how it put a damper on the whole day. To this he curtly says " We are busy today miss, good day". This place has the potential to be excellent with the right manager and staff. To be disrespectful this way and then on Father's Day to boot was downright awful. Be a man and own up to making a mistake, don't send another employee to make things right.“

She operates on a whole different level of excellence, and her unwavering commitment to detail and high-quality products surpasses all other establishments. When it comes to bakeries and restaurants, Susan's place puts them to shame in the best way possible. Her team is simply outstanding, and their dedication to providing top-notch customer service was evident throughout my entire visit. The food was nothing short of exquisite – it was incredibly fresh, unbelievably fluffy, and wonderfully delicious. Every bite was a scrumptious delight that left me in awe. In fact, it was so amazing that I can only describe it as "AMAZBALLS"! I have no doubt that Susan's bakery is the best in the state, and I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to pay a visit and savor everything they have to offer. “It was so nice to come back to Himalaya after so many years! My first visit was in 2013 when I had just become vegetarian, and I returned again in 2017 as a new vegan. Now, as a 9-year vegan, I was excited to see that they still offer so many delicious vegan-friendly options.

I started with a red sangria, then the Steamed Veg Momos, which were fresh, handmade, and packed with a flavorful mix of vegetables. The Lasooni Gobi was perfectly crispy with a delicious Himalayan sauce.

For entrees, I ordered the Veg Thali, Tadka Dal, and the Veg Korma. The Veg Thali was a wonderful way to sample several classic dishes, the Tadka Dal was comforting and full of aromatic spices, and the Veg Korma was rich, creamy, and made with a dairy-free cashew-based sauce. I also enjoyed the paratha made without butter, which paired perfectly with the curries. It’s the best I’ve had!

Himalaya is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and they do an excellent job accommodating vegan diners.

Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by. I’m so glad I came back, and it definitely won’t be another several years before my next visit!“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

“I've only eaten there once, but I can see myself visiting again. Service was very good, and friendly. The "Alvin" Grilled Chicken Sandwich was tasty, though the Chicken was a bit chewy. The French Fries were very good. The menu looks very ambitious, and I look forward to trying their other offerings. The bathrooms are tiny, but clean! It's a safe bet that you'll get an enjoyable meal at Strawberry Place.“

“I need to tell you that my family has been going to LaTulipe for the past 20 years and this place just keeps getting better and better. The quality of the cakes are exquisite and second to none .
Marteen, Fran, Michelle and quite frankly the entire staff are incredibly helpful and always accommodating. They will take orders for special occasions that make the celebrations so much more memorable. We have celebrated birthdays , graduations , sporting events , and they have made amazing designs and put photos on the cakes that have taken deserts to an entirely new level.
Finally, my daughter who has been gluten free since the age of 10 has never had to feel compromised in celebrating her special occasions because the birthday cakes and graduation cakes have been off the charts delicious. We look forward to her wedding cake next year!

I can hardly wait to return! Sunday brunch is fantastic! Busy and absolutely worth the wait! I had their delicious shakshuka and an early grey tea while my friend had the hamburger and a cappuccino. We both loved it!!! We ate outside which was lovely, but inside is even more lovely! The design is farmhouse chic meets French patisserie…a great combo!!! And…the staff was kind and generous!! “I am genuinely surprised by some of the negative reviews. I decided to visit the bakery on a whim because my usual one was closed, and I was needed a cake and some sweets. I had the chance to meet one of the owners, who was incredibly sweet and friendly. She was incredibly patient as I placed my order, which included a multitude of items. My family and I were happy with the cake, and the mini chocolate, passionfruit, and mixed berry mouse cakes that we ate. Not to mention, I also got a loaf of bread, which was sooo tasty!! I will definitely be back!“

“Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“Nice staff and decent food. Vegetarian includes eggs. Husband and his brother loved the Beyond burger and I enjoyed the veggie bowl. My husband’s cousin loved the curry veggies with brown rice. The gluten free bread/toast has no eggs.“

Personally fries were bit heavily seasoned but if you enjoy your salt, it is good! Very flavorful.

My burger bun was hard as a rock, the bacon was hard and cold, my kids' broccoli was swimming in some weird oil like liquid, inedible, the chicken Mac& Cheese bowl tasted warm and seemed microwabable.....and we literally had to send back the wine carafe, it was BITTER!!! Needless to say a waste of money! Sorry, I wouldn't recommend, cute place but that is all.“
