I originally didn’t have much expectation for a modern Taiwanese restaurant, but the very first dish—the stir-fried pea shoots—was impressive. The lettuce shrimp wraps were also outstanding. The intense wok hei from the high-heat stir-fry was unforgettable. Although it’s a fusion Taiwanese restaurant, Wenwen showcases the essence of Taiwanese cuisine in its own way for non-local guests. “Good place for Thai twisted food. We got Krapow burger and Thai tea. Burger was good, the spicy was kicked! But the Thai tea was quite fade for me. The restaurant was cute and cozy. They have few tables, inside looks so clean. They have cute merchs as well, like some shirts and tote bags. I want to go back and try their holy basil stir fried and crispy pork belly.“

I recently changed work neighborhoods, and this place instantly became my favorite. The bartenders are friendly, the atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, and late nights are full of industry folks, the kind of crowd that makes it feel like a neighborhood spot.

To top it off…the have the NFL ticket (as a Seahawks fan, that’s gold it is nearly impossible to catch a game on this side of the country, but here they’ve got me covered). Great food, great vibe…exactly what you want in a pub.

John and his staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the event. They provided us with a private area for the team, while the parent guests were comfortably seated in another section.

“This is one of many places to eat in LGA and it’s pretty darn good… at least for Italian style breakfast food it is. After placing my order I was watching the lady make other people’s food and the French toast looked beautiful! Lots of people were ordering pizza for breakfast and that looked pretty good too. I tried their breakfast stromboli, spinach and egg and cheese… the dough was beautiful looking and so was the entire thing in the display case. She heated up several minutes before giving it to me. I also got a side of sauce to dip it in.

When I sat down to eat it, it smelled and looked great. The flavors were fresh and spot on, especially the freshness of the spinach! Definitely would return in the future!“

I had such a great time at Melt n Dip Astoria! The place is super clean, cozy, and perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. The desserts are absolutely delicious — rich chocolate, generous portions, and everything beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly, and Mohamed was the best! “My first time visiting and Ahmed was so kind and welcoming! I tried the mixed platter with three different meats and two sides (I chose rice and salad). The salad was fresh and crunchy, the meat and rice were seasoned wonderfully. Every bite was delicious, and the portions were huge. It's more a restaurant vibe so give them a little time to cook the food. Overall I highly recommend and I'll be coming back!“
