“I went here with a group of friends. It is a small intimate bar. They occasionally have a kitchen that serves homemade dishes. Lots of inexpensive bottles of icy cold beers, as well as mixed drinks. There is a pool table and a dart board, music from cd's. I had fun but I knew a lot of people in the bar. Very friendly staff. They also have "guest bartender night". A frequent patron acts like the bartender for the evening.“

“I came here for the 1st time during restaurant week & I cannot wait to return back to try the rest of the menu.The staff & atmosphere was friendly & welcoming, you could tell locals come all the time. Everything I ordered was tasty, but the star of the show was my main entree, Moqueca (Brazilian fish stew with tomatoes, pepper, onions & coconut milk) - It was both comforting and flavorful.The fish was cooked to perfection (soft, tender & flaked easily with my fork), the coconuts milk stew was rich & robust in flavor, with a smooth enough consistency to coat your spoon. “Great lil Izakaya!The staff are extremely friendly and hospitalable, the food is delicious, the portion sizes are very generous, and a combination can be made if asked in advance.Definitely get the cheese corn and put some sweet soy sauce on it... And ask for the sweet and spicy sauce on the side, it makes any dish 50 times better lol.There's two other locations in New York, apparently one is in Manhattan, I'm not a local so I can't remember where the other location is... “Food is good but they raised their prices and it's only worthwhile if you can get them to actually bring the dishes you order. Sometimes we have difficulty getting orders in even when they're not that busy. Still, very solid place.“

“After visiting the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria we walked up the block and had a nice lunch at Pig Beach BBQ. My husband and I split the sampler platter which we both enjoyed. My favorite was the pulled pork and my husband’s favorite was the ribs.We were both surprised that it was more of a cafeteria style set up instead of sit down. To me that was probably the only drawback. But it was a very laid back casual atmosphere which a lot of people may find appealing.“

“It was a cold Saturday and I was yearning for a carb filled meal topped off with drinks. This was my second time coming to Queens Bully, the first time was literally 5 years ago and I don't recall my experience here much. I drove on over from Brooklyn and sat at the bar. Inside is a very rustic setting with a open space concept. The bartender was extremely professional, attentive and very nice. He overall knew what he was doing when I asked for a cosmopolitan and it was by far one of the best I've had in quite some time. I then ordered a painkiller which he recommended and boy was it good. I had to drive so it was a 2 drink minimum for me but I surely felt tipsy. I ordered the shrimp Mac it was so cheesy, creamy and packed with flavor. The shrimps were grilled just right and had a jerk taste to it, it did not let me down one bit. The atmosphere within Queens Bully is pretty uplifting with modern music, the staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and so are the drinks. I'll be back for sure“

“Slightly hard to write this review as I arrived a bit late to the meal. I went here months upon months ago. Not knowing that this was part of Dun Huang, I thought I went to the wrong restaurant but it turned out it was one and the same which was surprising. I was here with a group of nine others. As I arrived a bit late, the soup dumplings had already been there a while but they were still of very good quality. My favorite of the night was the Salted Egg Yolk & Shrimp Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. The texture of the rice cakes were perfect and the egg yolk complimented it well. I also liked the Dry Fried Shredded Eel & Chives. I also would have preferred them less shredded as I couldn't taste much of the eel texture but the sauce was nice and the blend with the chives added some good depth. The Fried Dough Twist Spicy Chicken or Laziji with Mahua was also surprisingly spicy for a restaurant which is primarily Shanghainese now so I guess they still have some influence from the old Dun Huang. I've had it before with these dough twists from the excellent Peppercorn Station and these rivaled that place even though the chicken there was a bit pricier but then again there was larger pieces of chicken in the latter. The Fish Fillets in Sour Cabbage Soup was also pretty solid as well as the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. You can essentially see Andie's review for the rest of my thoughts as they essentially reiterate hers. Yes it was too hot inside and as I was rushing to get there, I got warmer than most but oh well. Would go back but maybe go during the fall or winter if the AC isn't fixed yet. Mid 4“

“My first time coming to Lenny's, and I'm so happy I did. The server was terrific. The food was delicious. The fried calamari/ shrimp was perfect; the lobster was tender and flavorful. I definitely will be back to try other dishes.“

“The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming. This was my first experience doing Japanese Style BBQ where a server helps prepare the meat for you, and they made the experience very special. Both the server and the chef, who was preparing the cuts of meat for us in an open style serving area, would introduce the cut and the kind of sauce or condiment it goes well with, while giving enough time for us to chat and eat before coming back with the next round of cuts. Overall the service, cuts of meat, quality, atmosphere, and service were excellent and I can’t wait to go back again!“

“Very good but my main advice is don't go overboard on whatever meats they have on the buffet. Behind a counter they got a whole smoking setup with absolutely tons of meat. Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT but i ended up biting off more than i could chew, literally.“

“Food was very good. Of course it's absolutely cool that you can find a German innkeeper in the middle of NY who chooses a daring name.The food was good, value for money was okay and the staff was also very friendly. There are no criticisms!“

“This place is such a gem! Price is not bad, and the food is amazing! I don't know what authentic Tibetan food should taste like, but this place is a family-owned business so I would inclined to believe that they serve authentic food. I came here for lunch today at around 1PM. The place was empty but as I began devouring my lunch, more people showed up for a late lunch, and guessing from the language they speak, they are all Tibetans/Himalayans. The menu is not necessarily friendly to non-Tibetans but my server was kind enough to explain menu items. I did also google some of the names of the food to figure out my order. I settled with an appetizer, a dropa khatsa. It's stir fried beef tripe. It's got a hint of curry but not overpowering and it doesn't remind you of Indian food. I The main dish I ordered was the mala dry pot with rice noodle fan (similar to Korean japchae noodles) with beef stomach (beef tripe but the bible tripe kind), fish balls, and mushrooms. The dry pot was spicy but not overly spicy. I caught a hint of Chinese Five Spice in it. Will definitely come back to try more food!“

“Son for his birthday wanted some BBQ and the place we wanted was two hours away. Jumped on yelp to see the best bbq places in New York and came upon Mable's. Happy that we did not need a reservation and was seated within five minutes. Our waiter, although seemed a bit stretched thin, he was cool. The folks I was with tried a variety of the menu. Daughter had the bowl of chilli and she devoured the large bowl which she said was great but spicy. Son had one pull pork burger and immediately ordered a second one - yes that good! Girlfriend had the ribs and that girl ate it all up. Wife and I had the three meats. The brisket did not have any fat and was juicy - very tender. She had the ribs and also enjoyed it since it came right off the bone. The pulled chicken was the only thing we were not a fan of because didn't take right and was cold. I had two of the kielbasas because wow they hit the spot. Oh and the corn bread - 5 stars: Warm, soft, fresh and leaves you wanting more. Candi-yams tasted like on thanksgiving. My wife loved the cheesy Mac and cheese. The only negative is that we sat near the door so the cold breeze came in and it was tight to walk in.“

“Amazing Filipino restaurant in Queens. We ordered tapsilog, tocilog, batangas style lomi and ube coconut bar. They were delicious and very affordable. We also ordered bangsilog to go. “10 stars if I could. Had to leave my home town of asbury park NJ and head into Brooklyn to deliver my daughter to a show at the Brooklyn monarch. Had a few hours to kill and did my research ahead of time to see where we might hang out while we waited. Northern Belle seemed like the spot so after braving downpour rain, crazy winds and the worst drivers in America, we made it to the bar. From the outside it looked dark and we drove past it and had to turn around to find the place. Wow, you walk in the door and the place is buzzing with Brooklyn locals. We got lucky and got the last 2 seats at the bar. The bartender was so friendly and made great drinks. He was cranking out the drinks and still kept checking on us, not sure how he handles it but he is awesome . We ordered a ton of food for the 2 of us and this place makes really good bar food. Really good. We did the deep fried deviled egg plate, really good. Shrimp and brisket tacos were great. Fried hicken sandwich came with a ton of hand cut fries. Perfect! Oh and we got an order of smoked wings and they are really good!“

“First time trying this place, I found this awesome combo deal $9.99 on little red book. I wanted to see what all the hype was all about. The combo came with lamb noodle soup and 5 lamb bbq skewers. This was a great deal and awesome combination. I've had and tried many lamb noodle soup in many places, the favor of lamb is very tricky. As for this soup base it covered the tacky taste of lamb which was a plus on my end. Service was acceptable, they deal is before 5pm, I stopped in around 12pm. They offered warm water, but didn't come out till I finished my meal, due to no hot water. Overall I had a good experience, I definitely would come back and try their other combos.“

“Came here for lunch with my mom a few weeks ago. We ordered Salt and Pepper Squid and it came out piping hot but too bready and not enough flavor. The. Duck Congee was okay it just needed some seasoning. The beef chow fun and Cambodian noodle soup had great flavor and we thoroughly enjoyed those.Our server was great and attentive. “Known as "Party BBQ" in English: Located on Broadway, between 45th Ave & Whitney Ave., in Elmhurst (in front of the Asian Supermarket which has its own parking lot).This BBQ lot has been here for years and has quite a large following. There's always a line of ppl patiently waiting for their BBQ goodness! On this Tuesday evening at around 7:30pm, it was no exception; there were about 8 ppl on line. But don't let that deter you from ordering your BBQ Skewers! The line moves surprisingly quickly. This is a one man show and he was hustling! Kudos to the hardworking gentleman making our BBQ Kebabs, and don't forget to tip him!On this visit, we tried their Beef and Lamb Kebabs ($1.75 each). We asked for the kebabs with cumin and extra spicy. These were so flavorful and delicious! My only complaint is that some pieces were very fatty but very good nonetheless.I will definitely be looking for this cart the next time I'm in the area. “Great place nearby for Chinese bbq! The food has been consistently good. I like to come here for brunch congee and roast meats over rice. Every time I've dined in, the food has been delicious. One time I got an order of roast pork to go and didn't like it as much but feel like that was a one off. The service has been good for us. “A hidden gem in Queens. Word of mouth is really how one finds out about this great establishment for smoked salmon. Competes equally with the bigger well known one in Brooklyn. Carmen is great. Friendly, great service and cuts the salmon like a pro. The smoked salmon is full of flavor. Other highlights here are the sturgeon and baked salmon but the lox is the go to. Decent prices and will be back for all my lox cravings.“

“If you are craving Filipino food, this is the place. Went on a weekday after work for early dinner and the place was almost empty. Ordered the lumpia sariwa, the lumpia Shanghai, the ukoy, the barbeque pork skewers, the crispy pata, the tuna belly and panga, the ginataang sitaw with calabasa and okra and the pancit bihon. We definitely got excited ordering as all that food was for a party of 3. The food was really good. My favorite was the lumpia sariwa, the ukoy and the crispy pata. The sides tonight were collard greens and beans, both of which have a good level of spice/kick to them.
