“Love a corner restaurant! Staff is always so cool and welcoming. The cocktails are well designed, the space is dark and comfy for groups but I think it’s especially sexy for a date night. I know that offer a few fun happy hour “girl dinner options”. However my obsession lies with the chicken dinner, which normally would not be my go to at a spot, but this dish has a hold on me. It’s such a good size that you could share it but it’s also so delicious you don’t want to. The chicken is pounded thin but still juicy and subtly sweet, comes with an amazing pairing of crazy creamy polenta and this somehow addictive kale, but the true star is the smoky sauce that I want to bathe in. So divine! If they ever got rid of it I would cry.“

“I had an amazing dinner with friends here. Every dish felt like it had its own special twist to it. The ambiance was wonderful and relaxed, it was the perfect place to catch up with friends over dinner and wine. The portions are on the smaller side so I'd recommend ordering more than you'd think. “A Genuinely French, Neighborhood Gem! This authentic, lovely, VERY French Bistro serves French favorites in a charming, townhouse setting. The host (Xavier) and owner (Virginia) are attentive, very warm, jovial, accommodating and very French. The food is so authentically good! The appetizers are tasty, especially the beet carpaccio with goat cheese, and soups. (The French onion soup is, arguably, the best we've ever had. My son loves their fish soup.) During our many visits, we have thoroughly enjoyed the mussels in various, delightful preparations (Provençal is our personal favorite). When they have a Berkshire pork chop or rack of lamb special, we have enjoyed the perfectly cooked and seasoned meats. (Again, the pork at Bistro Vendome, is the BEST we've ever had. It is moist, perfectly cooked and so flavorful.) The accompanying French fries or potato gratin are decadently yummy, rich and well seasoned. (We also have previously enjoyed the delicious escargot.) The Bistro burger (with fries) and flat iron steak (with salad and fries) are also incredibly yummy. The staff and chef/owner also, so graciously, accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences. The menu changes seasonally, with options maximizing the freshest availability of in-season ingredients. The desserts are reminiscent of the best patisseries in Paris. We always thoroughly enjoy Bistro Vendome! The charming atmosphere, affable and accommodating staff, and authentic, beautifully prepared, delicious, French fare keep us coming back! With excellent, GENUINELY French cuisine, an utterly accommodating owner and host, and a very lovely ambiance, Bistro Vendome is a stellar choice for a delectable meal, in a pretty, townhouse setting. “This is a review of Bistrot Ha’s dessert program.

I had dined at another establishment for my meal but wanted to try the dessert selection from Ha. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy a late dessert and some drinks before rushing to another event. This accommodation reflected the top notch service experienced at both bistrot ha and Ha’s snack bar. Truly exceptional.

On this visit we ordered the pistachio tart with ice cream, the ice cream for 2, the passion fruit crepe, a lychee martini, and two espressos.

Let’s begin with what was best. The ice cream for 2 is a must order. This mountain of ice cream over a crust and topped with a creamy meringue was spectacular both in taste and appearance. The toasted taste of the meringue was carried into a burnt molasses flavor that was perfectly balanced by the rich sweetness of the ice cream. The crust at the base provided the needed textural contrast to make this a perfect dessert. The ice cream also paired well with the espresso we ordered.

The passion fruit crepe was punchy and light. If I was already stuffed from dinner, I would have found this to be a great dessert option. The freshness of the passionfruit made this dessert memorable. The crepe itself was standard.

The tart portion of the pistachio tart was rather forgettable. It is not super flavorful. I understand the appeal of a not overly sweet dessert but I would have liked more nutty flavor if taking a more savory route. The ice cream it is served with though is immaculate. One of the best pistachio ice creams I have ever tasted. Beautifully fresh, rich, and full of pistachio flavor with a touch of toasted notes.

Overall, the dessert program here is strong and according to the staff changes frequently. I will definitely be back to try more and it made me curious about the dinner menu.“

“10/10 for Dudley's, food was amazing, we had the whipped ricotta and calamari to start and then shared the cheese burger, it was all delicious and a perfect amount of food for two ladies. The servers were attentive. Bar staff was great and cocktails are good. The tables are close to each other but that's to be expected. There is one restroom for men and women but there was no wait and the restaurant was full. Great experience, would go again“
