Visited this shoppe a few times when I lived in the neighborhood. Love this place! The people are great and the food is amazing. My favorite go to for breakfast and pastries, especially the cheesecake. So if you haven’t been, go give them a visit, you’ll love the place too.
I lived in Scaglione's neighborhood from 1973 to 1981. It was my favorite bread bakery then. They made a dense and flavorful bread. Hand made in those days. You had to come early to make sure they didn't sell out of your choices. When an article about Scaglione's appeared in the Post, praising them, the owner was furious because his regulars weren't able to get their breads , due to all the new customers from the article . I have been going here for years how long I used to babysit for Danny and his brother. The food is delicious. The soups are amazing. Chicken cutlets are delicious. I really haven’t had anything here. I didn’t love.Dietary restrictions: You can ask not to put extra salt in certain things and I find the soup is not salty. They’re pretty accommodating with everyone.
