The food and service was excellent. The portions were reasonable and we still had leftovers. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I definitely recommend the Mac and cheese side dish.
I went on 06/03/22 . I have to disagree with some of the reviews. We were served HOT food on plates with REAL flatware. ALL of the wait staff were pleasant, they enthusiastically came out and sang Happy Birthday. FOOD PORTIONS were generous. When we told them the corn bread ends were a little dry, they immediately replaced the bowl of bread. Above all, the food was seasoned well.
husband and myself celebrated our anniversary of 27th years at the first black own Seafood and soul food restaurant at City Island. The food was plenty and good and the atmosphere was friendly. We would highly recommend. To All on your next visit to city Island. 🥰
