“When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. The staff was welcoming and the service great. The prices were reasonable, but the best part was the delicious food!!“

“Indian Kitchen in Williamsburg is a real neighborhood gem. Living right above it, I can honestly say it’s a huge convenience—and a pleasure. The food is consistently excellent, full of flavor and care, and the service is always warm and attentive. It genuinely feels community-oriented, the kind of place that remembers its regulars and adds to the fabric of the block. I’m lucky to have such a great restaurant just downstairs.“

“One of the best meals I’ve had out in a long time. Everything here from the service to the ambience was amazing! For appetizers we had the biyebarir fish fry and the aloo chaat, both were spicy but we found ourselves wanting more. The entrees stepped it up a notch with the prawn malai kari and the kosha mangshu which were 100% worth coming back for. Our server Zaraith was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the entire meal and the manager Joy was very hospitable. Will be back soon for sure, thank you Unapologetic for the experience!“

“Had dinner here with a friend and really enjoyed the meal. Saag Panner and chicken Korma were especially terrific. We ordered on appetizer that wasn’t what we expected and the owner and the chef came over and explained the dish and suggested an alternative which they gladly swapped out. Service was terrific. Personal and attentive. Definitely recommended.“

“From Texas With LOVE for DHANIA! I am from TX where South Asian food is in competition to be better. 6 ****** Rating, Why? I am an Expert of Bengali/Indian/Pakistani food due to my involvement to provide bi-weekly food to our congregations of up to 500 members. Our food is mainly Bengali/Indian/Pakistani dishes and some outside items like salads/sweets etc. I mostly cook the main dishes MYSELF. During my visit to NY I dined in few restaurants. I never ate in any NY restaurants before. Dera rest: C+; 3 star Lahore rest: B-; 3.5 star Kababish: C-; 2 star Alibaba Kabab near Bufalo: B+; 4 star Few fast-food restaurants. Now the Main subject DHANIA restaurant, A++; 6 Star Restaurant is Very Clean, Nice atmosphere. Food came in reasonable time. If food comes quickly then thats not good for S. Asian food. Cauliflower was fantastic! Samosas were very good! Chatney awesome. Chicken Tikka was great! Biriyani & butter chicken was Excellent! Naan was fine & soft! Not hard or burned as some other places. Since I ordered catering for my congregation from many restaurants in Houston, I became an expert in S. Asian food. Dhania really surpassed my expectations and surprised me in NY. Wish them the best. Keep serving the best food!“

a lovely surprise was the gulab jamun at the end - probably the best gulab jamun i’ve ever had! soft & warm & so fresh!
other dishes we got were the chicken tikka masala, bhelpuri & papri chaat, and of course garlic naan. not a single dish disappointed!“

“I just moved to the area and was looking for a classic mattar paneer/naan fix and came across Green Chilli. Portions, price, and flavor were great and the folks running this place were super friendly and definitely go above and beyond in providing great service. Take it from someone who has ordered the same things from dozens of restaurants across the country, Green Chilli won't disappoint!“

“My husband and I walked across the Pulaski Bridge from Long Island City, Queens to Greenpoint, Brooklyn to have dinner. The first restaurant we came across was the Bombay Grill House. We decided to take a chance. The cleanliness and comfort of the restaurant with its luxurious wooden tables created a sense of anticipation for a good meal. The lentil soup and salmon with an extraordinary sauce exceeded our expectations, and the mango lassi was prepared with a rich flavor and aroma. This is my favorite drink, and it's the best I've had in the city. We highly recommend this restaurant for frequent visits. No matter what bridges you need to cross, go for it! You won't regret it. “We visited Pangat for popup thali for lunch and dining here felt like being welcomed into an intimate community feast, just like the traditional Pangat gatherings in India. The host brought everyone together in a warm, thoughtful, and truly authentic way.
The food was absolutely amazing—rich flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and dishes that tasted like they came straight from a home kitchen. We ordered Goat and Fish thalis while our kids had Chicken and Vegetarian thali. I highly recommend their goat and fish thalis.
The vibe was equally impressive: cozy, inviting, and full of positive energy. It’s rare to find a place that combines tradition, hospitality, and great food so effortlessly.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for something unique, soulful, and delicious. A true gem!“

“Believe the rating - this place is the best Indian food in the city. The first time I went here, I sat next to an older Indian woman who boldly proclaimed the lamb curry was the best she’d ever had in her life. She was right - the meet is so tender and the curry is perfectly balanced. Even the naan - it’s textural and flavor perfection. Come here, be happy“

“I came across Desi Grill for lunch today, which is not that easy to do as it's in a semi-industrial setting. They seem to do a steady take-out service, but I like to eat in and read so I had the place all to myself. For $10.95, you get a choice of lamb, chicken or a vegetable curry with rice and naan. I chose lamb, which was not the most tender, but the sauce was so tasty, and the portions were plentiful especially for the price and for NYC. I was so impressed, I took home the aloo gobi lunch special. This may seem weird, but I love leftover naan for breakfast and am looking forward to having it tomorrow morning.“

“Ordered pickup to go. Staff was nice. 10/10. Food was piping hot by the time I got home 20ish minutes later. Portion size is good for the price. I wasn’t super familiar with Indian food before I ordered & wanted to try a bunch. I got the chicken tikka masala, lamb handi, veg biryanis, garlic and cheese naan, & paratha plain. Very flavorful. I will order again.
Vegetarian options: Most dishes have veggie option“

“Delicious food! Ordered take-out and everything was well-made and well-spiced. Tikka Masala, ordered at medium spicy, was the best I've had in the area, and their Achari Begun, an eggplant dish, was also fantastic. Highly recommend for a nice casual dinner.“

“If I lived in the neighborhood, I would eat in or get takeout from here at least once a week. Chana Saag and Shrimp Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan were next level, especially for the price. Even the rice on its own was delicious. The staff is always very warm and welcoming as well.“

“LOVE this place, the atmosphere is so warm and inviting, nothing flashy, instead there's wood everywhere, American antiques and Indian chachkas on the walls, kinda fun IMHO. The food is among the best Indian I've had. I've tried the lamb korma, with its thick, sweet n savory cashew nut gravy and fork-tender chunks of lamb. The tandoori salmon sizzling platter with spinach is out of this world. Tender juicy salmon kebabs, marinated and cooked on skewers, served over onions on a hot cast iron platter (the onions are still being seared when the platter arrives), with a generous side of spinach. I tasted the chicken chettinad that a friend ordered. He loved it. I found the sauce to be similar to korma but without the sweetness from the chopped fruit that's usually in korma. The tamarind flavor was noticeable. The veggie samosas were very very good, nice lightly crispy crust, nicely spiced. They'll start you off with a complimentary papadam while you make your choices. Prices are very reasonable, and from 12-4 they offer 25% off their reg prices as their lunch special.“

“After having brunch here I will definitely be back for their dinner service.
Definitely worth checking out. Tried the biscuits & gravy, full 2.0, pancakes all were solid renditions of the traditional meal with a twist.
Callout - The French press is a full French press not just a personal sized one“
