“Wine-tasting buddy, Marji, and I often grab a sandwich and head up to Furnace Brook Winery to enjoy sipping and sitting (either in their screened gazebo overlooking the orchard or in front of their huge stone fireplace). We FINALLY hit a day when Ben's was open, as we'd been wanting to try it but not hitting its open days (Thursday - Sunday, catering to the weekend City crowd). Menu, which changes regularly, is printed on blackboards high on the wall; there are a few small tables for eating in, and at least one table outside for nice weather. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. We both selected the open-faced smoked salmon sandwich and a cookie and headed up to the winery. One bite and we were sold! I don't recall what the bread was, but it was grainy and tasty. Cream cheese was nicely flavored with fresh garlic and chives (I think) and complemented the smoked salmon perfectly. Fresh, homemade baked goods are local, but not theirs - cookies were yummy. Ben's will definitely be our go-to for a pick-up lunch on the way to the winery - as long as our schedules coincide! A nice addition to Chatham's several small restaurants.“

“Ive been eating here for at least 20 years it's a family-owned business and they are phenomenal and truthfully they have the very best bagels that I've been able to find anywhere in upstate New York
Plus they have amazing tuna fish“

“I ate breakfast here many times during my visit in the area. The food is truly excellent. The breakfast burger special was my favorite followed by the banana bread on the weekend. While the historic bulking and interior is charming, I enjoyed sitting outside at the picnic tables with my pup. Enjoyed some good conversations with local residents. Nice place, nice people. 5 stars all around.“

“Came for the donuts, had a great conversation with the staff. I got 1 of every donut they had available at the time I was there. They were what I consider the best donuts of the many I've tried. Also I tried the cannoli and it was also probably the best cannoli I've tried in NY. Will definitely return.
Finally had the chance to return for the cronuts and they were great, so fresh and fluffy, also tried a cherry Fritter wasn't as good as I had hoped it was a bit flat and could've used some filling to help with it being a bit bready and slightly dry.“

“I have been to both the Kinderhook and Slingerlands locations and they are both amazing! Delicious food, best kettle boiled Brooklyn-style bagels, and authentic pizza. yum!“

“So I've had the Valatie location and they were my favorite donuts within an hour of me. They said this is were the donuts were made. My only issue was they just didn't seem as fresh, came around noon-1, but the main thing that threw me off was the frosting, was super thick and just an odd texture. Really like the croissant donuts, the PBnJ was good but similar issue with the frosting. Maybe if I came sooner it'd fix the issue“
