“One of the nicest eateries in this area. I've been here about 10 times in the past 5 years, but the food has gotten noticeably better in the past half year. In warm weather there is a really nice outdoor deck. The service is good and pleasant and so is the atmosphere. Parking is limited but I've never had a problem. It's in a hotel, so the guests there must have alternate parking arrangements. The prices are above average for this area, but not exorbitant.“
“pelkey’s is by far my favorite bar when I come upstate. Don’t let the interior fool you…both the drinks, the food, and the service are absolutely top notch. And the owner is the friendliest coolest dude this side of the Delaware. If you’re in callicoon, it’s a can’t miss!“
“This is sch a nicely renovated historic building. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The food was presented beautifully and was plentiful. Our bill was reasonable, and the waitress was friendly and informative without being intrusive. They offer drink specials and have live music on occasion. It's really a nice place to frequent.“
“Came out here from ri , was starving after the long ride and decided to stop here. looked like they were closing but they sat us anyways which was appreciated, we didn't even look at the menu the girl listed somethings that sounded good and we were like "yeah we'll have w.e that is " the burger sliders were so good and juicy , drinks were great , prices was fair. Hostess was nice and attentive. 10/10“
“Best breakfast you’ll ever have with friendly, fun staff! The Olaf is my favorite breakfast…outstanding flavor, the potatoes cooked to a nice crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, this is such a large portion, I eat my eggs and some of the potatoes, sausage & onion mix and take the rest home, I’ll get a few moreMeals out of it by adding an egg each time (or not…plenty on its own). Don’t forget to try at least once in your lifetime the homemade cinnamon rolls…WOW! Love, love, love this place and they have outdoor dining!“
“Very cozy and intimate. The cocktails exceptional. As was the wine too! The food delicious from appetizers to entrées. And the roaring fire on a rainy night was beautiful. My husband and I loved the atmosphere and the service. We lingered and were not rushed. True gem!Food & drinks: Exceptional!“
“This is truly a hidden gem you can blink and pass it. I was hungry and pulled in on the journey from Long Island to my house in Honesdale. Where is fear is very charming and gives you the feeling of going back in time. I strolled in a little after 4 o'clock when they open and found out that they have an early bird for $15.99. I said at the bar and Ordered Cajun seafood. I cannot believe in this day and time how much food and of what grade quality I had for 1599. He dinner rolls or something you would have at a five star restaurant the salad was perfect and the seafood was perfect I am back here now one week later enjoying the same experience“
“The food tasted pretty good. My only complaint is how expensive it was for a “large” Stromboli. $30 for it and it’s not very big at all. I remember getting Stromboli from Peppinos in callicoon and how it was a giant “U” shape so I was expecting something a little similar. It wasn’t enough to feed our family (2 adults and 3 toddlers)“
“Went to The Cabin on a blustery winter evening and it was so fun. We had such a great time and it reminded me of the old days when old man winter was always present. What a cozy wonderful place. Food was great, service perfect. Woodstove so cozy.“
“We had Melissa as our server, she was fantastic. Our appetizers were Seafood bisque soup and fresh tuna tower over seaweed salad and jasmine rice, both were exceptional. Dinners were a perfectly cooked ribeye steak with mash potatoes and string beans. I had the seared scallops over sweet potatoes puree drizzled with blueberry sauce, just absolutely delicious. We were stuffed so we took our carrot cake slices to go, LOL. The chef did a 5 star job, kudos. We will be back again, and make sure we have a reservation, the were completely booked. Thank you again for a wonderful dinner.“
“This is a great spot to eat and it never disappoints. Haven’t been there in a while because we live in the city. Tonight we had the tavern burger, tavern mac and cheese and I tried 2 of the specials. Beef barley soup and brisket sandwich which is probably the best brisket I’ve had in a very long time. The soup was very tasty and the brisket was full of flavor. It was topped with arugula, some sort of dressing and thinly sliced purple onion. It was outstanding.“
“It was a very nice venue. It was very clean all the bathrooms were clean and neatly organized. A very nice place to have a reception for a wedding. The staff were all extremely nice and very helpful definitely a pleasant place to go whether it's out on the golf course or enjoying a party inside the club house.“
“This roast beef sandwich was fabulous! We needed a snack . My cousin who lives in the Catskills told us about this sandwich. I had not idea a place in the middle of the forest would be so good . The meat was tender and slices so fine . The service was good . The ambiance was rustic as it should be .“
