“To start the service I received was above and beyond excellence. I placed a take out order and from the moment the man behind the counter learned my name he addressed me as such there forward. That simple act made the experience go from being a normal customer to feeling like I was a local and I had been coming here my whole life. When placing my order any question I could have was answered before I could even think of it. The order was made in great time even though the place was pacted. The food itself was delicious and perfectly cooked.“

“We decided to come here on our way back from visiting our grandchildren. Our first time here. I was very impressed with the cozy atmosphere; very homey and welcoming. We were served with delicious rolls and as Pepsi fans were delighted that they offered that! My husband ordered cabbage rolls and was over the moon with how amazing they tasted. When I go to a place I’ve never been to I always get the turkey dinner if they have it. I asked before I ordered it if it was real turkey or deli turkey and I was told it was real. It came with a choice of potato, cranberry sauce, vegetable and homemade stuffing. For me the stuffing is the game changer. Everything was absolutely amazing!! We are absolutely coming back!“

We’ve HEARD, that they have an incredible outdoor grill setup…We’ve HEARD, that the Wrangler BBQ pit was custom made in Indiana…We’ve HEARD, that the cherry and applewood smoked meats are on display under their pavilion….But We’ve only been able to TASTE their winter options; an award-winning tray of Old Fashion square (sweeter sauce, two cheese blend), a toasted Cuban with seasoned gravy fries and a crock of French onion soup to boot. We had Haggerty's wings for the first time yesterday and they were hands down the best wings I've ever had. They were perfectly cooked crispy wings and delicious sauce, perfect blue cheese and crunchy (not wilted) celery! They won us over and we will definitely be back for some hot wings! (Also their other apps were excellent!) They staff was pleasant the atmosphere is so inviting! Can't wait to come again for a beer and wings!“

“We were introduced to a tasting of The Cashew Lounge on a wine train event we attended in Carbondale this past Fall. We have been wanting to get to the actual restaurant since then and decided it was a nice sunny Sunday why not take a ride today as we live about 40 minutes away. So glad we did, it was so worth the trip. The food was top notch, the service was fabulous! Everyone was attentive and knowledgeable and some of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered in a restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and clean! The food from appetizer to dessert was A+. We had the Buffalo Chicken Empanadas as an appetizer, homemade and sooo good!. I had the Gnocchi in Vodka Sauce as my entree and it came with choice of soup , I chose the Tomato Basil. Wow, no words , both were wonderful. My husband also chose the Tomato Basil soup and as his Entree chose the Chicken Parmesan over pasta which had a nice twist, it was served with Vodka Sauce instead of the usual red sause. He thought it was delicious! If you leave here hungry that's definitely on you, the portions are huge and we both brought home leftovers. We couldn't resist the Creme Brulee Donut dessert special OMG!! As a side note I never know what kind of cocktail I want order, so I simply said, surprise me with something sweet and fun! They sure did deliver , a chocolate covered strawberry martini , it was so yummy. Thanks for being so playful with my request, most places just kind of give me a look , lol. We even got to chat with the owner, such a nice guy! Thanks for a wonderful first experience, we will definitely be putting The Cashew Lounge on our restaurant rotation!!! “Every Sunday after church my husband and I go out to eat breakfast 😋 we live a 15-18 minute away from Pinky's I'm always in Carbondale and use work in Carbondale at Gentex for 6 years and never stopped here to eat... Well OMGGGG I was most definitely missing out on some great food. Let me tell you we ordered what we wanted and before we knew it our food was on the table lightning speed if 10 minutes went we didn't notice!! The service was excellent food cooked to perfection 🥰 my waitress was McKenzie and she was so polite and attentive to the point that I asked to take a picture with her 😀. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was clean the bathroom was clean as well“

“Phenomenal food, atmosphere & people! This place is a gem & worth the drive no matter where you're from! I took my husband for his birthday.

He had veal parmigiana w linguine & salad. I had pappardelle bolognese w italian wedding soup. The bread was warm w oil for dipping & the entrees served hot as they should be. (it was obvious that nothing was sitting waiting to come out of the kitchen)

The waitstaff are super friendly & attentive and the cocktails- a bloody mary & tiramisu martini were excellent!

Dessert was brownie ala mode w a candle & song for hubs, and tiramisu for me.

This was the greatest town to grow up in we had kiddies Day like mothers and fathers day we had kidfies6 day we has blueberry ad back berry's we pick them sell them for 50 cents a quart now they are all gone they came in sprayed and no more berries no more kiddies Day ice skating no more teen town no more cyc we had places to go in the summer had play houses on all for corners of Carbondale
I have one question who's idea was it to End all this who's idea was it to make Carbondale a dead town cisco had many owners always had good food some better then others you go down main street and it looks like some one punched main street in the mouth half the building gone knocked down for what Carbondale was a place the stars came to Jacky Gleason daughter got married here the best pool playes in the world played here and some on the best music came out of this little town we had it all but some one thought it wasn't a great idea so your kids suffer it's a Dam shame under main street covered over with black top is brick roads now we half to put black top down every other years back then a brick brakes you replace the brick our leaders are ti blame your kids are left to the trouble you left them not there fault“
