“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“We decided as Suffolk County residents to take a ride towards Nassau County and wound up in the beautiful town of Bayville. While there we came across Mill Creek Tavern. Getting there a little earlier guaranteed us a spot in a small parking lot but certainly noticed many parking areas on the street would accommodate all. We were greeted by an extraordinary friendly staff that accommodated one of us with impaired hearing by putting us in an area that would have the least amount of noise as this was a Saturday evening. We were fortunate to get two service persons, our first one was Sue who was pleasant friendly and very patient as this was our first visit. Jean then became our server and we couldn't say enough great things about her. Personality experience humorous courteous all rolled up into one. Our drinks were professionally made and the food delicious. We left Mill Creek and agreed in changing our reservation for next week in another Nassau restaurant, and come back to Mill Creek. So thank you all for making our "virgin cruise" to Mill Creek Tavern, a great one.“

The atmosphere is charming and kept very clean. My dad ordered the French toast deluxe and truly enjoyed it. It was fluffy, juicy, and satisfying. I had the Mediterranean omelette. It was very flavorful and fluffy as well. Not every diner is created equal. The lovely woman behind the counter told us this establishment is at least 60 years old. It's such a slice of nostalgia. We had an even better experience than we anticipated. I hope they are a mainstay for years to come. What a treat. Really looking forward to our next breakfast there!“

“We had the personal pizzas and they were excellent. They have draft beer and a variety of mixed drinks. The seating is cozy. Wait staff was attentive and ready with recommendations for first timers. It can get a bit loud when full but a very warm and inviting atmosphere.“

Outstanding menu choices. My friend ordered the shrimp tacos and was equally pleased. We were too full for dessert but did look at the menu and each item looked better than the next. Great view of the Britannia Marina as well. Armand was our waiter and he could not have been more attentive and friendly. We will be back!!!“

“Piccolo Restaurant, Huntington Excellent dirty martini with blue cheese olives. Pear salad was perfect and delicious. My wife had the potato crusted cod special and I had the veal chop Merrell. Everything was exceptionally prepared and excellent. Service was terrific and outstanding. This is how a restaurant should be run and how great food should taste.“
