“Amazing food. Food was so good my wife enjoyed the leftovers and it tasted just as good as when it was served. The eggplant parm was delicious. We started with a caesar salad and it was truly amazing. We had about 13 of us who enjoyed a nice lunch after a hike, and they attended to us very well. There are seats facing the river which is even more beautiful. The menu is diverse and i actually enjoyed everything that i tried. The spinach mushroom gruyere pizza was really good. And, the bread they serve at the table is also amazing! Foccacia bread and we dipped it in olive oil. Lots of bangers at this place. A couple of guys got some orange beer that looked amazing. Highly recommend. It's cash only, which is a bit of an inconvenience, but the food was so good we were excited to pay them lol 10/10. The chef even came out to thank us. “Excellent local casual restaurant. We’ve only been here twice in the past five years, mostly recently March 2024. This past visit we had the steak cafe salad, which was delicious. I am outside their normal delivery range (have to order thru Doordash if I want delivery) but I will 1000% order from them once a week and pick it up on the way home. Their pizza tastes great and their staff are always friendly and welcoming. The storefront might be a bit small, but it's homey and comfortable. You can never go wrong ordering from these guys. I believe there is a handicapped parking space but no access isle next to it. There are additional spaces on the side of the building and around back. I've always been able to park my lift equipped van on the side of the building and get out of it without a problem. The entrance has a vestibule and getting through 2 sets of doors using a wheelchair is challenging. Once inside, there is ample space and bathrooms are accessible.“

All of our guests loved the food as well. So we will be going back for more than just pizza. “Came by for dinner after a long day, came here like last hour they were open, but they more then happy to take my order. I got a meatball sub and buffalo chicken sliders. My order came to me in less then 10 minutes. So the sub, the meatballs were decent size and not too big to the point I was unable to close the sub, cheese was completely melted and gooey, sauce could been less, since the bread did get soggy, and almost came apart. Now the chicken buffalo sliders , that was a experience. First the breading, looked and almost tasted like a pretzel, then the filling, plenty of chicken bits and a healthy amount of buffalo sauce. Seriously the sliders were the best, I was expecting little burger sandwiches and instead pretzel type bread with filling. Very happy with the sliders and definitely something I will get again“

They have a huge array of different foods (Italian, tacos, fajitas, steaks , appetizers, etc. . I can't complain not one bit. I heated everything up when I got home and omg, to my surprise the first bite I took was so crispy, and fresh. The round pie was very good. Sauce had a nice tang, was thing and had a nice crunch. The show stopper was the Brooklyn Pie. My goodness, was it absolutely delicious. The sauce was more robust, had a bite to it and the pie was thin and crunchy. Absolutely amazing. My wife and I nearly ate the entire pie between the two of us. We will definitely be going back!“

“J&F has delicious food. Their meatballs are homemade and legendary. It is a very laid- back, small, and unassuming place on upper Broadway in Newburgh. Almost all of their business is take out- hot and cold sandwiches ( locally made bread), pizza , soup, and pasta dishes all made on site. Started by 2 brothers (John and Frank) , it has remained in the family for over 50 years. Very friendly people and good food. It's our go-to place when we need a quick meal.“

Balance of cheese to sauce is right, that light crunch when you bite into it, light char on the bottom. Sauce is maybe a lil garlicky but that's fine by me. So all in all, a solid slice.“
