“We had lunch at La Cabaña Salvadoreña after visiting The Cloisters. It was our first time eating Savadoreñan food and the pupusas and tostones were delicious. Our mistake was not to pour the sauce over the pupusas, something we later saw other guests do, but, the pupusas were very tasty anyway. We now know how to eat them!“

“The pupusas were delicious—I loved the masa and all the fixin’s that came with (coleslaw, 3 types of salsas). My favorite is the chicharron. I ordered a few trays of the mini pupusas (highly recommend for a party, on a small plate) and the staff was so pleasant in taking my order and communicating with me the day of.“

“This is the best kept secret in New Rochelle. There's close to 20 Mexican restaurants in New Rochelle and this is the best one by far. Parking was a problem because of construction but now there's enough spots to stop by and grab some tacos.“

“Food is always consistently delicious. I’ve ordered their food but when I’m on the go, I order their mix pupusas. And let me tell you, these people don’t mess around. They make sure everything is fresh. The tomato sauce is nice and thick. The cabbage taste crispy fresh. The restaurant itself is nice inside with lots of seating availability. This is the type a spot I recommend you try.“
“I called in for papusas and got a variety to try! I loved every single one but can highly recommend the papusas with pork and beans; it is definitely my new favorite dish. The wait was about 15 minutes after I called to place my order, which was not bad at all. The owner was very kind and gave us a slice of pizza to try for free, which was good as well. Overall, great experience, and I will be coming back soon!“
“Amazing homemade food. So many dishes made fresh daily, and as things finish, they have a fresh batch ready to go. The ladies behind the counter are very helpful, and cheerful. Always happy to stop by and get breakfast when I'm in the mood for something fresh and homemade.“

“First timer here had a long Saturday night lol ordered HomeFries eggs and bacon and toast with a hot chocolate. I felt better within the first two bites. And the hot chocolate you can tell was super fresh. Not only was the food good you can tell it was made with love and amazing energy. If you’re looking for a good breakfast this is the top of all the competitors in the area! Will certainly order again!“

“It is delicious with fresh, not canned or overly processed, ingredients. The wait time is longer and gratuity is included but that’s ok. Also, the menu is in Spanish but also ok by me. Nice atmosphere and easy to find near multiple routes of public transit“

“Had a 10 hour layover so stopped off here for a late breakfast. I’m glad we did - we only had $20 between us but we split a breakfast meal and a couple of extra papusas. The food was delicious, tasted fresh and filling. I was especially impressed by how well you could eat as a vegetarian here.
We both left feeling satisfied despite only sharing a plate. It’s a shame the place was cash only and we were low only dollars as I really wanted to try their horchata and some of the refrescos in the fridge.
The place is small with only 3 tables but we managed to secure a place and the guy working there was friendly and prompt.
Will definitely try to check this place out again if I’m coming through Jamaica.
Vegetarian options: Beans, papusas, cheese, soup, plátano, frijoles, eggs“

“We were a group of 5: 2 seniors, 2 adults and 1 child. The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious and the service excellent. We have eaten Ethiopian food many times and Nuria would not leave you disappointed. We had a wonderful experience. The kid said:” I could eat this kind of food every day”. This says it all.“
