“My first experience with Nepalese cuisine. I ordered three styles of momo, which is a type of stuffed pasta dumpling. More similar to a semolina dough,, not thick and glutinous like rice dough. Clearly hand made with care. Jhol Momo is steamed dumplings served in soup. Nothing was too extreme in the soup, it was balanced and savory. Kothey Momo is like a pot sticker,, fried on one side and steamed. I got paneer cheese stuffing. It didn't have lots of cheese, but rather savory vegetables to round out the filling. It's served with chutney, a traditional sauce. I really enjoyed this even though I was expecting more cheese. The C (Chili) Momo is bathed in a spicy and slightly sweet red pepper sauce. It has bits of onion and pepper and shaved scallion. I got chicken stuffed. If you like General Tso's you'll like this, if you like Chicken Cacciatore you'll like this. It left my lips feeling pleasantly warm after eating. I'm curious to know what kind of chili pepper they use. Medium heat level, don't fear it. The owner was very nice and answered my questions, and language was not a barrier. The interior is bright and clean with several tables. The exterior is fresh and new. It IS at a very busy intersection of Albany, which is why I went between lunch and dinner hours. Be aware that if you're driving finding parking nearby could be tricky, but also be mindful of holding up traffic as you search for a spot. If necessary, drive around the block and regroup. The food is worth any extra work you have to put into getting it. I felt safe in the neighborhood, but be aware of your surroundings, it's a busy area with several main roads coming together at that location. Perfect if you come by bus! I'll be going back to try beef and mushroom momo next time, and Mango Lassi to drink. 24 pieces of momo for $36 not bad. If you want a sampler order the Combo Set, hidden at the bottom of the menu. This place is going to be very popular very soon!“

“this white girl loves me some pearl’s chicken. this is the second time this week i am ordering it. their fried chicken pieces are so damn good! full of flavor
crispiness and the chicken is wet and moist falls right off the bone. i slather it in honey and go mmmm the whole time i’m eating and sucking my fingers. the sweet potato pie comes warm and is delicious.
i liked their cole slaw. the only thing
i didn’t like was their mac and cheese. i don’t know why but it was so bland with little seasoning. they need to fix up their mac. that being said i truly love pearl’s chicken. they have so many options i look forward to trying more of the menu but i keep going back for chicken because

Since I was grumpy leaving Albany Blaze, I wanted to treat myself to my first s'mores pie. “Oh I'm gonna be regretting this decision tomorrow.Was here last week and saw that loaded nacho chicken sandwich with queso fries, and I was like: "Oh my." So of course I had to try them, a week later and I also gain the courage to add the ghost pepper chicken sandwich with the matching fries, you know, to make sure I tried all the newest items on the menu. As a backup plan to that ghost pepper spice I also tacked on a frosty, originally going for the pumpkin spice but I later found out they had just changed out to the peppermint. No big loss I thought.Ordered online which was weird, because unlike other joints there is no way to place a pickup time and that's because they do not start making your meal until you show up. So while you can pay ahead and order it all to your specifications, like adding pickles, extra lettuce, etc, you might need to wait around once you get there if your customized order is large enough. As for me, the wait was close to 5 minutes, and all I did was remove the tomatoes, add onions, pickles, and extra lettuce.When I got home and opened it all up I wasn't blown away by the visual appeal for sure, it all looked pretty mundane, but how was the taste? Well the ghost pepper chicken sandwich was spicy, after eating half the sandwich that is. It's a build up spice in this case, so don't be fooled by your initial few nibbles. The matching fries reminded me heavily of flaming hot cheetos, but they too had the same build up effect. The loaded nacho chicken sandwich was by far the tastier of the two, but maybe it was because I was so excited for it, that my hype was not met. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. Worse yet the queso fries were just a mess, with the cheese topping having solidified into this ball of wet potatos. The queso was just slimy and not spread across the fries, leaving a good 20% totally dry. As for the peppermint frosty, it was alright, helped combat the spice of the ghost pepper, but compared to the pumpkin spice one they just had, it was the lesser. Very vanilla, not much peppermint.A meal of ups and downs for sure, but as I sit here full, satisfied, I'm not upset with my purchase or even unhappy at the $29 I spent. Just a good reminder that fast food does what it needs to, fills you up but won't wow you per-say.“

“Just finished picking up dinner on opening day of the new Five Guys location at 900 Central Ave! This used to be a Bruegger's Bagels back in the day and the place looks a million times better than it ever did! Everything is so spatially set up with plenty of room to move, even though there are alot of booths and especially tables set up.

Everyone seemed to be busy prepping the food and handling pickup orders, including mine.

The food itself was absolutely fresh and hot. I didn't have much of a lunch, being at the race track all day, but boy did I do it here. Delicious bacon cheeseburgers with HUGE beef patties with all the fixings your heart could desire. Got a large fries that were prepped when I got there to have them be the freshest possible. Then to top it off, a delicious milkshake to wash it all down...in a word...divine🤤 Great first opening day! BURP 🥴“
