“I was greeted by the most pleasant, professional young lady named Ayanna. She immediately brought us to the table of our choice and then inform us that she would also be our server. She did not leave until she informed us of menu options that she thought we might be interested in and asked us if there was anything that we needed right away. When I told her to give us a little bit of time, she pleasantly agreed and did hesitate to frequently check on us to see if she could meet our needs. I ordered a cocktail for myself and a drink for my son, who accompanied me, and we placed our dinner order. Our food was served promptly and it was hot and delicious. Throughout dinner, she checked on us frequently to ensure we had everything that we needed. She also made pleasant conversation which I greatly appreciated as this was my first time at an Applebee’s location. She has gained you a customer for life. The food and the atmosphere was wonderful, but Ayanna definitely may be experience worthwhile.“

“I’m a breakfast snob and I can say without question that Torkel’s Galley is first rate! The breakfast was one of the best that I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, the eggs, potatoes and bacon will be a memorable meal for a long time. The decor brought back fond memories of the old days of Halesite I only wish I lived closer to Halesite to frequent the Galley more often. I should note that I knew Torkel Knutson and his siblings back when I grew up on Huntington Harbor in the 50s and 60s. It was great to see him doing so well.“

“I just need to shout out Deli Zone b/c I've been coming here a few years and I always enjoy it. Everything is priced well, and the food is solid. Nothing fancy, just hearty and filling. I'm obsessed with their healthy breakfast wraps. My favorite is the Energy breakfast wrap. Just bomb. I stop in for breakfast and lunch often and usually order breakfast wraps and sandwiches. “My family and I visited on Sunday, November 16, 2025, and had Gianna as our server. She greeted us with a smile and gave us time to decide what we wanted to order. She made appetizer recommendations, and we went with the loaded fries.

The main meal arrived HOT; maybe I should have waited just a minute to sample my skillet meal! Gianna was always available for us and made sure that our glasses were never empty. She is a valuable asset to Applebee's East Islip.
