“The new Riley’s East was FANTASTIC! Make sure you visit here and enjoy this amazing establishment! Warm and welcoming with an incredible, creative menu designed to please every palate and the most delicious, generous meals! We enjoyed the lobster bisque (loaded with huge chunks of lobster), grilled Asian style cauliflower with a savory dipping sauce (omg delicious), mozzarella and tomato panini with the largest, most delicious fresh mozzarella slices and tasty balsamic/ greenery, and the fish and chips and fries which were so tasty and generous we will enjoy them for days. This is a very special place and we highly recommend it!“

It sounded good in the description but fell far short of the description but fell short in execution and I don't know what they put on their bread but I would like to make that decision for my self. then have my bread coated with some butter spread that I don't know the heritage of. “Had the day off and went thrift shopping with my hubby and daughter. I was craving tacos and tamales. They are right down the block from a decent Salavation Army. Not busy, sadly.

Food was made to order but they also have steam tables to get platters. Clean atmosphere and lovely owners. Pupusas are yummy, tamales even better! Picky daughter enjoyed her burrito very much and hubby said his tacos had great flavor. Ask about their yucca fries; so crispy and fresh! Sauces are on point as well. Remember, food is made to order, so grab drinkie, sit at a table and chill!

“I became a regular diner to Riley’s a couple of years ago. Gotta tell ya, the food is as good as any high restaurant I eat at and I dine out a lot. Fun, delicious, quality menu that has never once disappointed on any item, ever. Yes it is mostly basic pub food but so are 50% of the restaurants on Long Island now and Fibbers is perfect and priced more than fair. Can’t remember the servers but the two ladies are always right there, refills on drinks, food on time and always with a smile regardless how busy they are. Come back soon guys! “Came to N.Y. for visit, from Texas & Georgia, but originally from here. My brother & I were staying across the street at the Raddison hotel. We walked in, were greeted immediately, with a pleasant hello! Seated right away! Our server, Valerie, greeted us with her sweet personality. She was very kind and courteous, and had great customer service! I have a nut allergy, I brought to her attention. She made sure to thoroughly check with the cook, to be sure the new menu item, I was ordering, did not contain any nuts! I ordered the Bayou Shrimp bowl, which was delicious I might add, with this amazing side sauce for the shrimp, that I couldn’t get enough of! Valerie immediately let me know that it was safe to consume which I greatly appreciated. My brother had the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli, which was also delicious! The manager, Carol, also stopped by our table, to be sure all was going well, very pleasant. I was in the service industry, waitressing/bartending, for many years, so when I go into an establishment, and I get excellent customer service and delicious food, I love to brag about it! I’m quite critical how I’m being served, and Valerie, Did Not disappoint! She was exceptional. She deserves more than 5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“A companion and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. We arrived at eleven in the morning, not realizing that the restaurant opens at eleven. A gentleman, who I assume was a manager, quickly seated my companion and I at a table near the door. During our visit a few more parties arrived (mostly older/retirees) and they were also seated in our section.

My companion and I both ordered from the $10 lunch menu. I ordered the shrimp salad and they ordered pasta w/ soup on the side. All entrees on the lunch deal menu come with a free beverage.

For ten bucks, the salad was surprisingly hearty. All of the ingredients tasted fresh. The lettuce was crisp, the shrimp were flavorful (possibly too much seasoning), and the other ingredients (guac, rice, salsa, lettuce, etc) seemed to be of good quality.

Our waitress was attentive and offered refills when our drinks ran low.“

“Have been coming here, sporadically, for past 20+ years. Same ladies serving for quite awhile. Hit or miss service, sometimes they are too chatty and ignore tables. Food is good if you are ordering basic diner fare; omelettes or sandwiches. The owner, a kind, older gentleman, tried his best to make us feel valued.
We will return here, out of loyalty to our neighborhood diner.“

“🌸 Halston was Off the Hook this past Saturday night. Pauley greeted us with a smile and brought us over to The Big Beautiful Bar which was packed while our table was being prepared. The 3 Big TVs played 3 different sports games that held our attention along with conversing with the professional and friendly bartenders. Looking out into the main dining room was a sea of great steaks, varied drinks , appetizers and desserts. Individual festivities were all about. We started our night off with the wedge salad chopped that consisted of mouthwatering bacon bits & colorful small tomatoes. We also had the hummus as well. Speaking of being “Off the Hook” , our dinner choices for the night was around the Sushi selections- We had the night’s sushi special that was absolutely delicious and super fresh - it was by far the best sushi we have ever had anywhere. Along with that special we had the tuna tartare that was mixed with avocado and mango as well as the Halston Roll to round out our palate .. Leaving the best for last- our server Gina 💕was back from vacation and was a friendly face as always and helped make our dinner decisions very easy . We were surrounded by fun tables and The Halston was a buzz and definitely the place to be on a Saturday night . Great food Great People Beautiful place !!! “I’m a breakfast snob and I can say without question that Torkel’s Galley is first rate! The breakfast was one of the best that I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, the eggs, potatoes and bacon will be a memorable meal for a long time. The decor brought back fond memories of the old days of Halesite I only wish I lived closer to Halesite to frequent the Galley more often. I should note that I knew Torkel Knutson and his siblings back when I grew up on Huntington Harbor in the 50s and 60s. It was great to see him doing so well.“

“I just had my wedding at the Heritage Club, and the day went perfectly. I met with Mindy when touring the venue, and she was very helpful in explaining all the details, and she remained hands-on throughout the whole process. Everything was set up beautifully, and the events progressed seamlessly. Guests told me that this wedding was the most "on time" and organized wedding they have ever attended. The maitre-d helped make sure everything was going according to plan, and he even made sure we were looking at the right cameras during various events. Janet, the bridal attendant, was also incredibly helpful beyond words. When my husband's button popped off his tuxedo jacket, she sewed it back on within seconds. When lipstick got on my teeth, she appears with a q-tip and some floss. She was always around to help carry my train or give me a glass of water (with a straw!).There was a moment when I was walking with my full train, but by the time I reached the end of a hall, Janet had magically bustled the dress without me even noticing. From a guest-experience perspective, the Heritage Club also went above and beyond. Everyone raved about how full they were from cocktail hour, but then were still amazed by the quality of the seated dinner and passed desserts.
