“This IHOP is a hidden jewel. That's right, you read that correctly a jewel. Every single server that I have had the pleasure to meet has been polite, accommodating and thorough. The salad leaves ARE ALWAYS ALWAYS FRESH. You drive to most other restaurants, and the salads look like they have been around the block. My salad tonight was the GREENEST, FRESHEST, CRISPIEST salad I have had in a long time. The fried chicken was freshly prepared and I truly was surprised. Yum. For dessert I had the buttermilk biscuits with the whipped cream and deliciously sweet strawberries. My server Litzy was very courteous and very friendly. She came by my table often to make sure I had everything I needed. After a very hot day IHOP made my day. Remember folks, when all the diners have long closedEnjoy!“

The vibe inside was great, we were there for about 30 min - loved that they were running World Cup highlights on tv with some background music. He was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Employees like Vinny make a dining experience enjoyable, and he deserves to be recognized for his hard work.“

“I’d like to say and point out a server/bartender that works here at this Applebee’s in Brentwood. Each and every time I come here this employee consistently gives me and other customers I’ve seen dine here some of the best service and attitude imaginable. I don’t know what his secret is, but I love coming through those doors and seeing that his big built body is on the clock. Every other server/bartender I’ve had has been great, but then here comes Diego taking it to another level.

Especially the positive attitude that I see him giving his coworkers as well. Lord forgive me, but I would love to be working with this man because it’s one thing to be kind and respectful to your customers, but another to be that same way with your coworkers. Especially with the two hostesses that I usually see when I come in on the weekends, the curly-haired boy with the glasses and the nice girl with the curly hair. They’re always so welcoming, and Diego fits right in with them.

“I did a take out order at the East Islip location. The food was good but the super melts do not seem to have much meat on them like they use to. If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

Warm and welcoming with an incredible, creative menu designed to please every palate and the most delicious, generous meals! We enjoyed the lobster bisque (loaded with huge chunks of lobster), grilled Asian style cauliflower with a savory dipping sauce (omg delicious), mozzarella and tomato panini with the largest, most delicious fresh mozzarella slices and tasty balsamic/ greenery, and the fish and chips and fries which were so tasty and generous we will enjoy them for days. I was worried that I would not find something to eat because I am trying to watch what I'm eating, but I had a amazing salad with salmon that I can't even explain how good it was -- - totally more than I expected! It was delicious and something I am going to go back for as a staple! The service was great and the manager stopped over to say hi and see how everything was going. Totally appreciate that. “Have been coming here for past 20+ years. Same ladies serving for quite awhile. Hit or miss service, sometimes they are too chatty and ignore tables. Food is good if you are ordering basic diner fare; omelettes or sandwiches. The owner, a kind, older gentleman, always tries his best to make us feel valued. Heavy set mid 40's cashier is rude to customers and servers.

“I’m a breakfast snob and I can say without question that Torkel’s Galley is first rate! The breakfast was one of the best that I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, the eggs, potatoes and bacon will be a memorable meal for a long time. The decor brought back fond memories of the old days of Halesite I only wish I lived closer to Halesite to frequent the Galley more often. I should note that I knew Torkel Knutson and his siblings back when I grew up on Huntington Harbor in the 50s and 60s. It was great to see him doing so well.“
