“This place has some major positives and 1 pretty bad negative. If you are looking for some great apps and drinks this is your place. Love the atmosphere, selection of beer, servers always nice but overwhelmed. However something happeneds to the place when it's time for main courses. It changes into different quailty completely. I think honestly it comes down to a dirty grill, and oil not changed out enough. So this problem might not be exsistant in a few days, but if it continues ew. Every app is fire, and almost every entree is inedible. I'll keep going for the apps and drinks though.“
“We enjoyed dinner at The Linwood on Easter Sunday. Excellent service... great cocktails, delicious crispy cheese curds. Halibut was delicious! My husband had the sliders which he enjoyed. Two people had the gnocchi. My friend thought the gnocchi dish was good but a bit strong perhaps because of the chorizo. We drive from the north shore to the south shore for The Linwood... and we're never disappointed!“

“We LOVE this place! Although we don't get into town very often, this is one of our "must visit" restaurants! The menu has some unique items, each one with a great mix of flavors. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The vibe is the perfect mix of entertaining, fun and class. Stop in for great food and great views of Huntington.“
“Came here with a few friends on a Friday night as I heard it has a new owner. It’s a smaller place but is welcoming and nicely decorated. There were a bunch of other people there but the vibe was drinks with friends rather than loud/rowdy as some sports bars can get.Drinks and service were great! They have an impressive beer selection.We had the BBQ wings, red flatbread (which is actually a circular pizza and not a small rectangle as I’ve seen at other places), steak Gorgonzola Mac and chicken tenders. Everything was cooked really well and delicious! Gorgonzola and steak was a nice combo with the Mac and cheese. Chicken tenders were crunchy and very tender, clearly not something that was bought premade and frozen. Will definitely be back to try some other menu items and look forward to using their patio area in the warmer weather!Parking: They have a lot alongside the building, and plenty of street parking“
“I went on 3/17 for St Patrick’s Day. I got the corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was cut more on the thin side which I like. It was slightly fattier than I prefer but not terrible. The flavor was good, you could taste that it had been brined for some time. The cabbage was cooked well. The potatoes were red potatoes which was a nice touch and they were soft but still a little firm like I like. Everything was good except they put a sweet sauce that I couldn’t really identify on top of everything. I really didn’t like that but it was so minimal I could ignore it. They gave a piece of irish soda bread which I appreciated. Also the dish was 21 which was fairly priced and I feel like you got a good amount of meat which is really the costly part of the dish. Overall a good experience.“
“I was on a business trip to Islip, up from Florida. I usually look for a sports bar when I travel and this was close to the holiday inn where I was staying. Great atmosphere, girls behind the bar were very efficient and helpful. I ordered the "Irish Nachos" after reading it had a shepherds pie topping. I'm originally from England and so this caught my attention. The food was amazing, plenty of it, delicious and well priced. I swilled it down with a great pint of Guinness. Plenty of TVs to watch sport and comedies and music videos. Highly recommend it.“
“For a Monday night, the food hit just right . We were immediately seated and served drinks immediately. We did arrive on the later side so that may have affected how quickly we got our main dishes. Appetizers were immediate and the Mac and cheese bites hit the spot! “I'm a person of few words (Usually) , but I must say a few things that back up my description of Vchsning times. This establishment is top shelf ! Bar none ! The food was excellent ... corned beef was generously portioned and delicious. Hamburgers were great and fill your plate. The service is the just superb. The owner took time (note ...the place was packed) ... to introduce me to an Irish Whiskey ... by bringing me a sampler. ... which was great and because they were crowded ... you waited a bit, however, the waitress provided us with 2 full salad dishes on them for what turned out to be only a 5 minute delay. Even-though, the place is crowded, you can still enjoy an intimate conversation and feel very comfortable. Great place to dine! It's a great find!! Gene & Ellen“
“A great hangout, not over-blown or dramatic. Simple place to grab a beer, enjoy some good food and relax. If you're a beer drinker, and are sick of the 1 million IPA brands, check out a true UK beer called "Old Speckled Hen". This is the only place I've seen on Long Island that has it on tap! Oi! “Can’t say enough good things about our experience. First we came in on a Friday around 6:30 with our toddler, our waiter Nick immediately saw that she was starving and said he would throw her dish in first, which came out astronomically fast. Nick was super friendly & attentive, our pizza took a while to come out which my husband and I were ok with but the manager noticed herself and came over and offered us a free dessert, it got to the time where my toddler had to go lol so we just opted for the check and since we couldn’t take the dessert they gave us 20% off. We made sure to give Nick tip off the pre discounted price because he was that great. Just great service and attentiveness all around. Thank you and we will be back!“
