I could see myself stopping by to watch a game.As for the food, my friend and I shared the mussels to start. Go ahead and dip some bread into the sauce of the dish. It'll change your life. We had the chickpea fries as well but I wasn't a fan of those. Our main dishes included the Pappardelle Bolognese and the Branzino. Both seemed expertly crafted. I have no complaints there. They seem to have a solid wine collection so don't worry about finding the right libation to add to your dinner.There were some slight service glitches and some of the staff seemed less than warm, but that could've been a fluke or my perception. Don't let that deter you. I would come back for sure!“

The fries were good too. Everyone was very happy with their meals . “Made a reservation here for restaurant week. Apparently didn't need one. The place has its own parking lot with about a dozen spots. We entered the building which took us into the bar, which was bustling. The dining room was quaint, with some really nice booths and a fireplace that should have been lit. Our server was a good looking young man, pleasant, not overbearing with a sense of humor. We opted to include an additional appetizer of baked clams to our meal, along with the crab cake and winter salad, which I forgot to take photos of. My friend opted for the lamb chops while I had the branzino piccata. Yummy, although the menu never stated that the fish was served over a shrimp risotto. (I'm allergic to shrimp). Only 1 bone in the fish, so I was lucky. Our dessert consisted of tiramisu and rainbow cookie cheesecake. I was "fortunate" to get the last piece although not very cheesecake-y. All in all we had a nice dinner and will maybe return for another meal.“

“I went to Monroe’s for brunch with a group of 11 people to celebrate a birthday. David and Frank were our servers and they took amazing care of us. Our whole group did the bottomless brunch option and our glasses were never empty because they were quick to refill them. They also continuously checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted. The food was great! I had the sliced steak sandwich, it was delicious. The french fries and home fries were exceptional and perfectly seasoned. Everyone was happy with the food they ordered. I highly recommend visiting Monroe’s. We will definitely be back!“

“Started going here a little while back for the Subculture nights hosted by Dj Cody and from the first visit knew this was a great place. Johnny the bartender is a great guy and a class act and a really attentive bartender. The service is great here and you never wait a long time to get a drink no matter how many people are there. Along with great service the atmosphere is pretty cool and the nights are always fun. Definitely worth the trip whether you live close or have to travel a bit. I will continue to go to The Rabbits Foot on a regular basis as it is always a great time.“

The brisket had great flavor, though next time I'll ask for leaner pieces as mine was fatty. Sweet potatoes were just right, not too sweet. Cornbread just ok. Things to know: 1. This place is tiny. There are just 4 bar seats and that's it. 2. Beverage options limited. Coke, sprite, water. 3. The service is amazingly friendly and personable. I didn't get the woman's name behind the counter but I'd go back there just to hang out with her. And it wasn't just me, she was that way with every customer including a 4 year old. You don't need to travel to come here but it's a good stop if you are nearby. Just 2 blocks off the Locust Valley train station.“

“A fun place for lunch and dinner. I was a bit hesitant bring my son who is 3yo, because you just never know if he's having a good day or bad day. But I decided to take the risk and bring him on a mini date because there's only so many visits this mommy can take to Chik-fil-A and it turned out great. He was on his good behavior and tried the mushroom risotto, which I told him was cheesy rice with my short rib and he has a cheese burger and fries. They did forget to put cheese on his burger which he was quick to point out but that was a quick fix, the staff was quick to melt a slice of cheese on his burger and brought it back out quick. My only semi-compliant was a side was small sweet potato smash was $12 which was the same cost of his burger and fries. Otherwise, everything was great, staff was attentive and we had a fun time. “Always a special night at Grasso's. We've been coming since before the new owners. And it is better than ever. They serve a fresh baked roll with a hint of garlic when you sit down. For entrees, we have had the bone in veal chop twice, both times really large, and excellent. Previously parmigiano and last night with an incredible mushroom sauce, so good. We have had the zucchini linguini every time we dine here since we first tried it. It is all veggies, and all delicious. Ended with decaf coffee and decaf cappuccino, hot and impossible to distinguish from caffeinated coffee. I do not add milk to coffee if the restaurant does it right, which Grasso's always does. Served with biscotti I'm pretty sure came from a good bakery, not a package. Always live music, and where else can you find that on Long Island?“
