“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“My husband and I had a lovely lunch at Captain Ihab's. The mussels were outstanding and only $5. We shared the eggplant parm which was done to perfection. No liquor license , which we knew, so we brought our own spirits. We will definitely be back and eager to try other things on the menu.“

“Wonderful experience dining at the new Arlo restaurant. The renovation is absolutely incredible. You want to walk around just to admire how beautiful it all looks. The food and service was next level - reminding us of what you’d experience in NYC. Our guests raved about their duck entree, their boeuf bourguignon pot pie was outstanding, the oysters were fresh and delicious, great craft cocktails, and outstanding waitstaff. You can tell he really cares about this place. There was another man who works here who also assisted the patron. It really shows that they are dedicated to customer service here and value their customers and take pride in their work.“

“We actually never went to this location before, but had greatly enjoyed their prior second location in Port Washington. Expectaions were right on point. Food was excellent from appetizer to the main course. Maybe it's weird but I kind of respect even the small things like when a restaraunt offers to chose to serve in house brewed ice tea as opposed to something pre processed. The Brisket from todays specials list was perfect. This restaurant is 45min drive from home and well worth the trip. Thank You, we will be back.“

“The service was great, the lobster ,filet and mussels were excellent. My only disappointment was that I expecting the fish sandwich to be fresh fish and it was just a prebreaded and frozen. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I mentioned my observation to the manager and he was very appreciative and helpful. Overall we had a nice time out on the front patio. Delicious fried shrimp and tender fish. Fries are beer battered and bomb. Onion rings were fine. I think if a seaside self-proclaimed “shack” can do a few things perfect it is perfectly serving its purpose, and very reasonably priced. If we’re ever back in the area I’ll be back. “A friend recommended this place to me, so I decided to give it a try. It’s a small takeout spot and a little easy to miss from the road, but the Szechuan food is really authentic and tasty.

I ordered the mapo tofu and dan dan noodles, and both were excellent. The mapo tofu was flavorful and spicy with that nice numbing kick from the Szechuan peppercorns, and the tofu was really soft and soaked up the sauce well. The dan dan noodles were also really good—chewy, spicy, and full of flavor.

I ordered online for pickup and everything was ready right on time. I was able to park along the road, grab my food, and leave pretty quickly. Super convenient and definitely worth trying if you like authentic Szechuan food.“
