“My love and I celebrated his retirement dinner here, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The food was excellent but what made the evening especially memorable was our waitress Monette. She was friendly, attentive, and generally caring throughout the whole meal.

She went above and beyond to make our special occasion feel even more special, checking on us at just the right times, and making us feel so welcomed and appreciated. Her kindness and professionalism turned a great dinner into a memorable celebration.

Thank you for helping us celebrate such an important milestone. We highly recommend this restaurant and especially commend our waitress Monette for making our retirement dinner so perfect!“

“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

The food and service was next level - reminding us of what you’d experience in NYC. Our guests raved about their duck entree, their boeuf bourguignon pot pie was outstanding, the oysters were fresh and delicious, great craft cocktails, and outstanding waitstaff. “The food was soooo delicious. My husband I were cwlebrating our 6th Anniversary and had a WeekDay Luncheon Date. Totally Superb down to the very last drop. We ate every buttery morsel. We each had the Grilled Salmon, Lobster and Shrimp Trio with Mashed potatoes loaded with Lobster Sauce on top and a side of their broccolli which was insanely delicious!!! “Wonderful Turkish run, Mediterranean seafood restaurant. To start off it should be known this place is BYOB and does not have a liquor license; However, they have wine glasses and bottle openers. Perfect opertunuty to try a nice bottle of wine from home that you would normally pay triple for in a restaurant.
This place was authentic as it gets, from the fresh fish, to the service, to the no a/c lol.
We got all fish options, which is picked daily(1am the night prior), so anything you get is fresh as they keep no fish on sight over night.
The tuna tar tar and oysters were a great start, super fresh, amd tasty.
For dinner we got the stuffed flounder and sea bass. They were both tasty, but the flounder took the prize. Was stuff with crab and a whole shrimp.
Service was super friendly. Atmosphere is nice. Place is small, so reservations recommended, place also has a nice out door patio in the back.
Definitely will be coming back to this authentic Mediterranean spot.“

“My husband and i have been regular customers for many years of catfish Annies and we just found out they make lobster rolls yummy, we use to go to port Jefferson cause we know of a great place that has them.so today we ordered 2 to go that we were surprise that for $26.99 and you get either fries or their delicious seafood bisque soup we felt this was a good price. let me tell you they give you plenty of lobster and it is so delicious, i am glad to see that we have a place closer to home that we can go. “We had a Mothers Day celebration Sunday at this fabulous seafood restaurant. There were 15 of us- 9 adults and six children between 5 and 12. We traveled an hour to get there. The food was delicious- fresh, tasty and the portions were so large that everyone took a doggy bag home. It was served by a great staff including Angel who was our server. The owner, Donna, was very cordial and friendly. Everyone had a great time. We can't wait for our next family dinner to return. This is a must restaurant if you are a seafood lover!!“

The young man should get a promotion he is very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and I saw him help a customer who was having car trouble in the parking lot and as he was walking back indies, picked up a wrapper that someone had dropped, ensuring the establishment is clean. You can tell he really cares about this place. There was another man who works here who also assisted the patron. It really shows that they are dedicated to customer service here and value their customers and take pride in their work.“
