“Okay so admittedly when we were there they got slammed so our food took much longer than I think service would have usually taken. HOWEVER this place was so cute. Delicious fried shrimp and tender fish. Fries are beer battered and bomb. Onion rings were fine. I think if a seaside self-proclaimed “shack” can do a few things perfect it is perfectly serving its purpose, and very reasonably priced. If we’re ever back in the area I’ll be back. Waitresses were super nice.“

“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“The food was soooo delicious. My husband I were cwlebrating our 6th Anniversary and had a WeekDay Luncheon Date. Totally Superb down to the very last drop. We ate every buttery morsel. We each had the Grilled Salmon, Lobster and Shrimp Trio with Mashed potatoes loaded with Lobster Sauce on top and a side of their broccolli which was insanely delicious!!! “My husband and I had a lovely lunch at Captain Ihab's. The mussels were outstanding and only $5. We shared the eggplant parm which was done to perfection. No liquor license , which we knew, so we brought our own spirits. We will definitely be back and eager to try other things on the menu.“

“Wonderful experience dining at the new Arlo restaurant. The renovation is absolutely incredible. You want to walk around just to admire how beautiful it all looks. The food and service was next level - reminding us of what you’d experience in NYC. Our guests raved about their duck entree, their boeuf bourguignon pot pie was outstanding, the oysters were fresh and delicious, great craft cocktails, and outstanding waitstaff. “We had a Mothers Day celebration Sunday at this fabulous seafood restaurant. There were 15 of us- 9 adults and six children between 5 and 12. We traveled an hour to get there. The food was delicious- fresh, tasty and the portions were so large that everyone took a doggy bag home. It was served by a great staff including Angel who was our server. The owner, Donna, was very cordial and friendly. Everyone had a great time. We can't wait for our next family dinner to return. This is a must restaurant if you are a seafood lover!!“

“My husband and i have been regular customers for many years of catfish Annies and we just found out they make lobster rolls yummy, we use to go to port Jefferson cause we know of a great place that has them.so today we ordered 2 to go that we were surprise that for $26.99 and you get either fries or their delicious seafood bisque soup we felt this was a good price. let me tell you they give you plenty of lobster and it is so delicious, i am glad to see that we have a place closer to home that we can go. The young man should get a promotion he is very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and I saw him help a customer who was having car trouble in the parking lot and as he was walking back indies, picked up a wrapper that someone had dropped, ensuring the establishment is clean. You can tell he really cares about this place. There was another man who works here who also assisted the patron. It really shows that they are dedicated to customer service here and value their customers and take pride in their work.“

Food was excellent from appetizer to the main course. Maybe it's weird but I kind of respect even the small things like when a restaraunt offers to chose to serve in house brewed ice tea as opposed to something pre processed. The Brisket from todays specials list was perfect. This restaurant is 45min drive from home and well worth the trip. Thank You, we will be back.“
