“I'm going back to the 1980s. I was the executive chef at the Miller ridge cottage. It was such a pleasure to be working for The Murphy's.
I remember there was Bruce and Robert and another brother, and of course their father. They were a wonderful family. And they treated everyone like family that worked there.
I sure do miss that place.

“The restaurant closed for a while for a refresher, it pretty much looks the same. The Halloween decorations and village are excellent. A great place to bring your kids and family and eat at the snack bar. The restaurant changed it menu, nothing fancy but left out its German style foods and pot roast. It's more like a diner than a restaurant. We were disappointed thankfully they still have the cinnamon bread and popovers. Again a great place for the major holidays but uninspired are a restaurant.“
“We have had dinner here many times over the last 38 years but not recently. The atmosphere and service were great. The Christmas carolers were charming. The baked clam appetizer was excellent. My husband's roast duck was delicious. The popovers were so light and yummy. My chicken pot pie was not good. The broth used ruined the dish. It had an institutional flavor. It was barely warm. The crust cover was good but also needed to be hot. The peppermint ice cream was just as I remembered. Very delicious.“
“We have lunch a few times per month and the help yourself salad bar is a very varied , interesting choice of items when chosen carefully can be very reasonable . Being by the pound , your lunch can vary greatly in price but nowhere else can you get this type of variety . If you are looking at serious seafood or butcher items , bring a suitcase full of money or a lot of plastic .“

“Just had a Birthday Dinner and we enjoyed from the beginning to the end. The food was amazing! The octopus dish is delicious.. i loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place!!!!“
