“Went New Year’s Eve for the price fix menu…not realizing we had option otherwise. No matter the food was very good until we got to dessert. My husband took one bite out of his dessert and I noticed something hanging. Turned out to be a very long hair that had apparently been stuck to the icing. He spit everything out and flagged down the waitress. She didn’t seem to phased and offered him a replacement dessert which he of course declined. Honestly I expected her to report it to a manager and to make some sort of concession. Another dessert wasn’t going to cut it since we just found a long hair in it. I found that very odd because any other place would have offered us something, a coupon, money off the bill, something. No manager coming to apologize. Nothing.Do they not want people to come back?“

“People it's me again and this time I'm in the Applebee's Restaurant and Bar in Hicksville NY (South Broadway Rd next to the Lowe's and I have to say that everything that I've eaten here and the beers is best the food is amazing all the meats are moist and have flavors like nothing you would expect the people here are great and I'm telling you all to come here and believe me you will never stop bring your family and friends and everyone will enjoy it they have TV's all over and you know now the world cup football (soccer) is on well you can watch it without having to distress yourself because there's so many screens you can watch it on and every other sporting events... “The hostess tried to seat us in the empty private room in the back without offering a choice for the main dining area and we were forced object to this and were then seated on the floor. Based on the fact that both of our entre’s , filet, trout, were perfectly cooked and presented and delightful, a four star minimum is justified. Our side of brussels was undercooked and hard as rocks. The cocktails were perfectly done. No cheese cake after a steak? No coffee beans in the sambuca? The venue turned out to be a cut below. The pricing was fair in my opinion so on balance, an average dining experience overall. There are better options for sure.“

“I love the West End Café! We always meet there for my friends birthday! Yesterday while I was there for the first time, I tried the shrimp tacos and they were extremely delicious. I am dreaming about them today. Can't wait until we celebrate another birthday hopefully soon.“

Food was excellent from appetizer to the main course. Maybe it's weird but I kind of respect even the small things like when a restaraunt offers to chose to serve in house brewed ice tea as opposed to something pre processed. The Brisket from todays specials list was perfect. This restaurant is 45min drive from home and well worth the trip. Thank You, we will be back.“

I was worried that I would not find something to eat because I am trying to watch what I'm eating, but I had a amazing salad with salmon that I can't even explain how good it was -- - totally more than I expected! It was delicious and something I am going to go back for as a staple! The service was great and the manager stopped over to say hi and see how everything was going. Totally appreciate that. If you haven't been to Applebee's in a bit, check out the Farmingdale location and get the salmon salad!“

My Father has since passed but my Sister took my Mother there today and they gave my Mom hugs, told her they loved her and how cute she was. I was in tears when I heard this from my Sister.
