The lentil soup is special in that there is no grittiness to the lentils and Spiro was kind enough to share with me the method to that success.

“Great Greek place in Northport. Food tasted excellent and they give you good portions. Managers were around checking on everything. Went on a Thursday and they have a Dj which brought great energy to the place. Can’t wait to try out the Bougie Brunch which is every second Saturday of the month.“

Food is delicious and all staff, front and back of house, are friendly and professional. Nice view of the town and calm atmosphere. Most of the wait staff hired are in high school or college, making this a good place to go to if you’re looking to support neighborhood kids. The owner is a kind, respected member of the local town who goes above and beyond to give back to the community. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“This family owned restaurant is worth the time and effort. Nothing fancy except good Greek food. We both eat in and take out The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Many times the owners wife and children are eating there. The grandfather works at the grill when not spending time with his grandkids Again, nothing fancy except for the food, the atmosphere and the people. Please go and enjoy home-cooking while eating out“

However, I was disappointed that the gyro I ordered was served cold, which took away from the overall experience. If it had been properly heated, it would have been much better. Despite this, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would consider coming back, but I hope they pay more attention to serving food at the right temperature.“

“Al Kababi is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Pakistani food. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with these amazing aromas that just get you excited for what’s coming. The fact that it’s Zabiha makes it even better, knowing everything is halal and carefully sourced. The food? Incredible. We started with the beef Bihari, and they were so juicy and packed with flavor—just the right amount of spice and served with this fresh mint chutney that tied everything together. The biryani, which was perfection. The rice was fragrant, and the meat was super tender, with all those spices working in harmony. The real star, though, was their Amazing Nihari. It tasted homemade, like something you’d get at a family gathering. The spices were bold but balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. You could tell they put real love into this dish.
And let’s not forget the naan—soft, warm, and just the right texture to scoop up all the delicious flavors. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. If you’re craving real Pakistani food, Al Kababi should be at the top of your list. “Was in the area working and decided to have lunch here. The place has a very large menú to chose from so I was a bit hesitant on that. Usually places with large menus tend to have a hard time keeping items fresh, but no not here at hell's kitchen the food was great flavor and taste are great. I ordered a chicken gyro platter. The gentleman behind the counter insisted I try the empanadas so I did and it was very good. The crust was very crispy and flaky just like a traditional empanada and it was stuffed with spicy chicken. I wish I would have ordered a few more. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area.“

“If you’re having a very poor experience at Gino’s in Commack, my family and I decided to go to simply Greek and Kings Park and what a great idea that was. Food was exceptional. “Tried Limani Grille based off a recommendation from @liactivityplanner on insta! What a delightful treat for a Saturday night dinner with my friend & her 2 granddaughters. The food was amazing as well as the drinks & the ambience in the restaurant was awesome with some intimate dining spots an upstairs & a very attentive staff. We started with drinks, the picante strawberry margarita & the red & white sangrias. Then we had the calamari & Mac & cheese. For the main we ordered the scallops with lemon potatoes, the limani burger & the filet mignon souvlaki which all came with some awesome tasting fries. For dessert we had the Ekmek & Karidopita. Our waitress Vivian was very attentive & knowledgeable about the specials. She made every effort to accommodate us even though there was no kids menu!“
