“After visiting Estiatorio Milos at Hudson Yards last week, the comparison made me realize that I’m actually far more drawn to the dining style of Anassa Taverna. The lobster pasta was outstanding — rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced — while the fried calamari was unexpectedly impressive, perfectly light and crisp without feeling heavy. It’s the kind of meal that stays in your memory not because it tries too hard, but because every detail feels naturally well done.“

“There are many excellent Greek restaurants in Astoria and Ambrosia Garden can hold its own with all of them. The decor is splendid. It feels like you are being teleported to an intimate Greek island. Pavlos, our server, was top notch. Every dish we had was on point. The meal started with fresh house baked bread and olive oil. Excellent. We then ordered the Hellenic salad, tzatziki, a couple of glasses of Cava and some wine. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, my wife and mother in law ordered two branzinos and my father in law ordered the cod special. I loved it all. My father in law thought that the cod was too salty and Pavlos was extremely apologetic. He proceeded to give us a couple of desserts on the house. Amazing. Each are done in house and they are special. We had a sticky cake layer topped with a cream and pistachio. It was divine and then we had their famous orange cake. So good. I finished off the meal with a perfect double espresso. Thank you Pavlos and thank you Ambrosia Garden for a wonderful experience.“

“Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. “The octopus is PERFECTLY cooked. The flavors are incredible. I only wish it came with some potato or salad underneath. We also got the lamb fricassee, that sauce is so lovely and lemony. I think the lamb was just a touch over cooked but that is my only note on that dish. We got a half portion of rice on the side and I would recommend so you can savor every last bit of the sauce! The service is great, and I love the atmosphere. It feels like old New York and you are surrounded by Greek families in the restaurant. They gave bread with a delish vinegar and the end of the meal was a nice rice pudding dessert on the house. I will definitely be coming back!“

“Really enjoyed the takeout I ordered for delivery. The Royal Greens Salads are huge!!! I would say they're twice as big as other salads chains. I wish it was easier though to know the dietary info for the salad dressings as I could not tell which ones were vegan. I love that you can choose your own protein and swap some of the toppings or build your own. I also got the green tofu curry dish from SriPraPhai as well. The sauce was incredibly flavor and I liked the amount of kick it had. It was spicy but not too spicy for me atleast. I do wish it had more tofu in it though as it felt very sauce heavy. I would order takeout from here again especially if I was getting food with someone who wanted something different then me. I appreciate the free delivery and the amazing portion sizes. It's nice to be able to order multiple cuisines as well.“

“We ordered assorted gyros, souvlaki, tacos and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. Over all decent and accommodating to the greek culture with a twist of spanish. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

I had an incredible experience at Plateia GR! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the evening.
The food was absolutely delicious — everything tasted fresh and authentically Greek. The grilled octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, the meatballs were so moist and so good, and the gyro was delicious and full of flavor. The tzatziki and warm pita were the best I’ve ever had, and the galaktobouriko at the end of the meal was the perfect sweet finish.
What really stood out was the staff’s genuine hospitality — they took the time to explain the dishes and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.

“I’ve been coming to Souvlaki Spot almost every day for lunch, and it’s consistently excellent. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Everything I’ve tried has been great, especially the souvlaki plates and gyros. The portions are generous, the service is fast, and the staff always makes you feel welcome.
