“Food here is amazing, they're so friendly and attentive, menu choices are great, lunch special is a good price, and they pat attention to detail! I know most sushi places have ginger dressing salad and miso.. but theirs is better than usual lol. And the rolls are fresh and not skimpy. Tea is included. I love coming here on my breaks sometimes.“

“First time being at the restaurant, originally thought it was a table serve restaurant but it's actually a casual take out spot with the option to dine in.

Despite seeing a bit of mixed reviews I couldn't say I was hesitant since the photos of the food shared look genuinely worth trying and it exceeded expectations in terms of freshness, flavor, and even presentation
Ordered Sesame chicken combination platter and they do not compromise on flavor.

Each part had its defining flavor even the eggroll tasted as if it was fried in a very high quality oil setting it apart from others I've had. The sesame chicken had the best balance of sweet and savory with the pork fried rice being a standout for me.

This isn't your average yellow friend rice from your favorite hole in the wall but a delicious fried rice with some wok char, bright bean sprouts and the tastiest pops of salty pork. The pan fried dumplings had a very authentic flavor with the perfect crisp on the bottom.

What surprised me more was that this restaurant wasn't really busy, only a few people popped in for their take out order. With such a great experience, genuinely tasty flavors, I'm genuinely excited to revisit and try some more!“

“Teriyaki Express has been around for a long time, but recently as of Feb this year they're under new ownership. The new owner are so friendly and they make you feel like they're you're friends and you're coming over to eat at their house. I got a spicy tuna roll & salmon avocado roll with spicy mayo. I love that their fish is always really fresh with their rice is so warm and fragrant and perfectly cooked. Their food is always so satisfying. Their spicy tuna is actually spicy, and they don't fill it with tempura filler, it's mostly fish and sauce. They're family owned by a lovely couple, and it makes me happy to see them all the time. Please give them a try!“

“I cannot even begin to say how amazing this place is. They spared no expense decorating and renovating this space. The food was fantastic and is very reasonably priced. They have a huge center bar and lots of Hibachi tables and seating if you are getting Sushi. PLUS a robot brought our food! Ask for Alec! He took great care of us!“

“One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. That’s not an exaggeration. The food here is out of this world. The bao buns were the best I ever had, wings were crispy and delicious, and the sushi was to die for. You can tell they make everything here with love and use the highest quality ingredients. The menu is creative and I can’t wait to come back and try more of it. Lastly, the service was so friendly. The people here are down to earth and were so pleased to know we enjoyed the food. We sat down to eat and within less than an hour, so many customers and groups came in and out of the restaurant to pick up orders and were greeted with smiles and hugs. Clearly they have many regulars for a reason. They deserve more than 5 stars.“

“Ate here for the second time last night...loud (crowded full on a Friday night) but we were still able to hear each other. Food has been very good both times...very fresh, very tasty. Best miso soup I've ever had, but shumai was bland. We polished off two special rolls -- Holy Tuna and American Dream -- and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the pomegranate cocktail and would have loved another but I am on Weight Watchers now, lol! Service was courteous but split between the servers, and rushed due to the crowd, but everything came quickly with precise artistry and the hot foods were served good and hot...no complaints at all about the food quality, which is why this place has such a great reputation. Of course, we'll come again!“

“Nice place, unassuming exterior. Sushi was super fresh, rice on my rolls was sticky (as it should be) and soft. Fish tasted fresh and was thinly cut. Prices were average. Service was polite, nothing special. Spicy salmon was actually spicy. Would come back, recommended.“

“Amazing place. I was making a delivery when I stumbled upon it and I tried their menu. I love their sushi, I am on a roll of trying it all, but I'm stuck on the spider roll it's so good I can't move past it.... I like to call in advance so I don't have to wait but they're always quick. “What a find! Nestled next to the Dunkin Donuts and where Rite Aid used to be. Well run establishment. Orders take some time but always come out perfect. Plus the food is cooked in less oily or starch heavy ways. I know there are times where one has to be in the mood for Chinese takeout but you won’t mind eating here a few nights in a row. So tasty and fresh. You don’t feel disgusted or bloated afterwards. It’s satisfying. You get something simple as chicken with vegetables and it’s delicious. The veggies are scrumptious. Don’t feel like chugging a gallon of water later either. Definitely a healthier option for takeout. Plus there’s a sushi bar with several options too. As well as several Japanese dishes cooked with tempura and ever popular miso. Started getting the soup instead of egg roll with my meal and it’s sublime. No worries about having to ask for or pay extra for white meat chicken. Again I can’t get over how fresh the food tastes and just the well fed feeling afterwards. Highly recommend this lovely little place.“

This place charges $35 for all you can eat! What a deal. They charge extra for Crab 🦀 Boil and for Sashimi. But still a great bargain for quality food. Give this place a try before it gets too crowded, prices go up, and the quality goes down. 😀. Card payment is accepted. We will definitely be going back.“

The staff is very friendly and accommodating allowing my daughter to customize her bento box. Tonight we took out & I left my phone on the bar. “Truly a hidden gem!! This authentic Korean restaurant beats out popular spots in the city. We were greeted warmly upon entry and immediately served tea and a wide assortment of banchan (the tiny side dishes). We started with Pajeon (seafood & green onion pancake) and honestly I’ve had this in countless places and it was the best Pajeon I have ever had- not soggy at all, and the seafood was tender and not annoyingly chewy. Also had the Japchae (excellent), Combo #1 (LA Galbi Short Rib and and soft tofu stew) and a summer special of chilled buckwheat noodles. The portions were generous and the wait staff really were attentive and so helpful. The place has a homey feel like you’re at your favorite auntie’s house. 10/10, no notes, this will be in my heavy rotation.“

“This is a very nicely designed Hibachi restaurant sectioned the Hibachi grills and seating away from main restaurant and there is also a sushi bar and a liquor bar adorende with 3 large television screens for a sports bar feel. The food is fresh , very tasty and arrives pretty quickly. The one draw back that you may not like and isnt a real bad thing is the various staff members that attend to your order for drinks, then the food comes out by another person. The are visits than seem eager to grab your plate to clear the table giving you a sense that there is a rush for the table. We will be back since the food , atmosphere and prices are very good. The portions are on the smaller side but still worth it and you leave full and content.“

“I want to love this restaurant because I find it to be one of the better Korean restaurants on LI. I have enjoyed many of the apps and grilled dishes. My biggest issue is the soups and jigaes are disappointing. They are so under flavored. Korean stews and soups should be rich with flavor and spice, please don’t hold back on this. 🙏“

“Only sharing my review of the food because it's a primarily a take-out restaurant! My notes are that the sushi is the best thing to order here and it gets VERY busy during lunch special rush hours so order ahead on their direct website (although slightly more inconvenient than the ordering apps). Been coming here for many years since it opened and I keep coming back.“

“My wife and I walked in for dinner without a reservation maybe two months ago at around 6:30 on a Saturday. Since the wait was a bit longer than usual we were kindly given a plate of Edamame on the house. That's when we noticed that our server was working the entire dining room by herself after another called in sick last-minute.Being short staffed is a challenge on any night but this was a packed house on Saturday night with a large number of take-out orders flowing and the team stepped up with impressive dexterity. Given the circumstances mistakes can happen but we didn't notice any.Our meals were delicious, creative and beautiful. We've since returned several times for the great food but the real triumph that night was how well everyone in the front house performed.
