“I recently visited with my brother and ordered a chopped cheese, and I have to say, the experience was fantastic! The staff (Sal) showed so much hospitality and made me feel welcomed. As for the food—absolutely A1! The chopped cheese was perfectly seasoned and fresh, and every bite was delicious. We had the tempura sushi, rigatoni with vodka sauce, bruschetta, and zucchini fries- all absolutely delicious and good sized portions! The amaretto sours we chose were delicious and generously sized. The fried ice cream dessert was very good. Their chef is terrific - the flavors of the dishes were mouthwatering. Highly recommend Bar Vegan!“

It was a rough night with some tears so we were hoping some froyo would be just the fix we needed. The two women working were mopping the floors and closing up for the night but INSISTED that we get our froyo fix despite the fact that they were actually closed. They couldn’t have been nicer and I felt SO BAD but they promised we weren’t inconveniencing them at all. I was beyond impressed with the customer service and work ethic. “This place is so nice and the guy they had out front was awesome. Very friendly and good at making conversation that was appropriate for the situation. As soon as we walked in I could smell how good this place was going to be. The overall atmosphere was a really nice mix of casual and more upscale. Very nice seating arrangements and I loved the nice blue fake fire place. I would definitely recommend them. We also went during a time when it was not very busy about 4pm yet there were still a handful of tables full despite the unpopular time.“

“I won’t betray my boys at Shining Rainbow because they’re the best of the best, but Taiwan Noodle is definitely a strong contender and right behind them. The food is hot, delicious, and really fantastic. I recommend dining in rather than ordering takeout—though maybe ordering isn’t completely off the table? The one time I got takeout, they skimped on the meat, but that’s in the past now. The food is still amazing!“

I’m vegan and find it very easy to tell which dishes I can eat on the website - and there are enough that I still haven’t tried them all despite eating here pretty often. The pita chips are crunchy, the hummus is creamy and flavorful, and everything else is better than you can probably imagine. Take out only which works for me. This is the #1 restaurant I recommend in the Albany area.“
