“A modest little Vietnamese restaurant with an extensive menu and very tasty offerings, Pho Yum is tucked into the corner of an anonymous strip mall on a busy 4 lanes highway. The automated tablet based menu, plastic utensils and paper table ware may be off-putting, but the charming help, the rich Pho soups and interesting selection of spring, summer and autumn rolls are definitely worth the visit.“

“We happened to be passing by Maharaja while in Albany and stopped in for a late lunch. We were really not that acquainted with Indian food but said let's give a try. What a pleasant surprise. The food was fantastic! Would recommend to anyone. Fairly extensive menu. It was tough deciding what to try. It was a chicken masala dish. Very, very good.“

“Went in Saturday afternoon with a craving for a soup in a bread bowl. When my food was ready, I was told there was no more bread bowl. As a french canadian not visiting often, I was pissed. I complained to my friend in french about how “hangry” I was already and then complained more. The employee, who I assumed is the manager (I wished I had taken his name!) came over with a bread bowl and said he was very sorry for the situation. He had asked the kitchen if my friend and I were still there. He wanted to offer another soup in a bread bowl. I refused at first but he insisted ai at least take the bread bowl to go. It was such a nice gesture and he had such a good attitude about everything that it just made my day better.

“The Dutch Udder is the BEST ice cream shop in the Cap Region hands down. The ice cream is produced in small batches so flavor selections are always changing.*dont worry, there are 6 staples offered 24/7. Some flavor combo's are surprisingly stange, but work! Others, flat out home runs!! Pistachio and Bacon Burbon Butter Pecan are my two current favorites. Look forward to tasting new favorites. Owners and staff are incredibly hospitality.“

It was a rough night with some tears so we were hoping some froyo would be just the fix we needed. The two women working were mopping the floors and closing up for the night but INSISTED that we get our froyo fix despite the fact that they were actually closed. They couldn’t have been nicer and I felt SO BAD but they promised we weren’t inconveniencing them at all. I was beyond impressed with the customer service and work ethic. “Had a birthday dinner here tonight. The vegan tapas are fabulous!!! We had the tempura sushi, rigatoni with vodka sauce, bruschetta, and zucchini fries- all absolutely delicious and good sized portions! The amaretto sours we chose were delicious and generously sized. The fried ice cream dessert was very good. Their chef is terrific - the flavors of the dishes were mouthwatering. Highly recommend Bar Vegan!“

“Last night I ordered a cheeseburger for my wife and chicken tikki masala for me. My wife's favorite burger is Burger King. She said the burger was very good and almost as good as Burger King. Her burger was much bigger from Kabob House so she only ate half. While she was enjoying her burger. I was totally enjoying my chicken tikki masala. i wanted to eat half but I kept mixing a little more of the red sauced chicken with the rice. It was so fresh and the spice was so good. I was so full yet wanted more. The only thing I could not understand was, how and why would people not buy a burger here instead of Burger King? It even came with fries. My wife said because it had no onions. Later that evening I heard half a cheeseburger calling me. I cut off a large bite and was amazed by the thickness of the burger. The meat quality was far superior to any fast food burger. I am declaring Kabab House the burger winner. The food here is excellent. What's not to like ? I think they need an interior decorator. The place needs new tables and chairs with a better layout. Brighten things up.“

“As a queer woman in America, with a disability and a service dog... there are many places in this world where I do not feel comfortable, accepted, or even tolerated- much less welcomed. Any time I want to stop into a new place, I get a stomach ache outside, wondering whether people who don't know the ADA, or who don't understand what it's like to be challenged in every doorway for your right to exist, are going to mess up my day. (If you're a person with a service dog, then you know what I mean.) Today, though, I stopped by Cafe Euphoria and finally went in to eat. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found this place exactly as welcoming, warm, and fabulous as everyone had told me it would be. I had just had such a nerve racking morning. All I needed was to sit down worth warm comfort food, and not be bothered. A person in my situation can't take for granted that I can get such a thing in a public place. A lot of people wanna give me notes about the dog. I walked in with my dog, and no one treated me like a pariah or try to tell me I needed to show "papers" to exist in public. Instead, everyone was warm, friendly, and accepting! My dog and I are fairly new to each other. She is completely trained, both in her public access skills and in the tasks she performs to assist me. But in my experience, the whole first year together is really a time of learning to work together and work out any kinks in training. I discovered one today, when a burst of wind suddenly pushed open the door and began flapping papers hung near the door, at exactly the same moment that two guests suddenly stood up to greet each other right next to our table. My dog was surprised, and for a brief moment her training fell apart, with a sharp, brief, yelp of surprise on her part! This is a thing that can happen, even in a well trained dog - they're like people, and we all have our moments. But I've been in many situations where such a thing might have caused all the nasty, snarky little things being whispered around us suddenly get loud and blatant. Technically speaking, a business is not required to allow even a svc dog to misbehave in public, so they could have come over to get gate-keepy over that. (I was pretty embarrassed, as I've had a service dog for my entire adult life and I try to be more pro about it than that. I was actually prepared to just get up and leave, in case anyone was bothered.) But when I looked up, no one was giving me the hairy eyeball! No one was frowning at me, nobody was whispering accusations about my dog not being a "real" service dog. Instead, most people just went on with whatever they were doing, and those who met my eye just smiled warmly, full of acceptance and calm. The server even asked her name, with a bright and sincere smile. God, if you're not a person who is assisted by a service animal, you've NO IDEA both how rare and how special that kind of respectful acceptance can be. EVERYONE wants to patronizingly able- splain to me why they don't think they need to follow the ADA, why they don't think I've got the right to be there, or why they don't "believe," as though their beliefs should matter here, that my dog is really a service dog. This is such a relentless feature of my life that I am flooded with gratitude any time it doesn't happen that way. So much love to Cafe Euphoria! What a lovely, welcoming place. The food was DIVINE! What a welcome change from some of the other places I've been in this region. (Oh the stories I can, and prolly will at some point, tell about businesses not NEARLY this cool!) “We really enjoyed this restaurant. The fact we can substitute any meat with Portobello mushrooms opened up the menu for me. The staff was fun and energetic, and the ambiance was eclectic and playful. We enjoyed looking at all of the decor. The menu items have fun names. We both got the bluffin with my muffin, mine with mushroom and his as on the menu. That raspberry chipotle sauce really slaps! They have what looks like the original bar (very old building in Schenectady) and they serve alcohol.“

“The food was delicious! It’s a casual sit-down eatery with a relaxed atmosphere. They don’t serve alcohol, which is worth knowing ahead of time.

We had the spicy dumplings and the spicy Mala beef noodle soup. The soup came with lightly cubed and fried tofu, tofu sheets, crunchy mushrooms, bean sprouts, lean and tender pieces of beef, and fresh ramen noodles in a very spicy, flavorful broth. The portion was generous—one bowl was big enough for two adults to share. The noodles tasted especially fresh and had just the right amount of chew.

The spicy dumplings were delicious as well. I even took some of the ramen noodles from the soup and dipped them into the spicy chili oil from the dumplings, which was very tasty.

For dessert, we tried the Portuguese custard tarts. They were OK, but I’d still recommend trying them. They’re not super sweet and lean a little more savory—think toasted, buttery croissant.

For two people, the bill came to about $48, including a can of Sprite, a can of seltzer, and tax. I tipped $20 on top of that. Service was pretty good overall.
