Beware of purchasing products other than tea as I was given a very hard time over returning a defective tea mug, despite having the box and receipt. Not a good experience. I strongly advise against purchasing gift cards. They sell them, but don’t always have the ability to apply them toward purchases due to their suboptimal payment process. I have lost money several times on gift cards that I received due to their inability or incompetence at 2 locations. Also, their gift cards expire, cannot be applied to online purchase without a lengthy wait time and process. Currently waiting for a response to use my gift card for an online purchase. Won’t hold my breath. Whistling kettle also likes to tack on an extra fee for guaranteed delivery that is difficult to decline. Online purchasing is often challenging. I have reluctantly purchased tea elsewhere as every other tea site is easier to use.“

“My family and I went to the Ripe Tomato for the first time and we had one of the best experiences we have had in a restaurant. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were great! Our waitress was amazing and friendly. We ordered some soup, however it never came out. Our waitress immediately apologized and brought us out one cup for us to split and one cup to go (after asking us if that was okay) and they were on the house. Like I said the food was delicious. Our youngest has Down Syndrome and is a very picky eater and he LOVED the food there. (Honestly that is the most food I have ever seen him eat at a resturant). We will definitely be coming back!“

“16 Handles in Clifton Park did such an amazing job for a graduation party that I had. They allow you to order as many varieties as you want. The great thing is it covers all kinds of dietary restrictions. Everyone was able to have it!!! It was such a big hit at the party and I can’t wait for the opportunity to use them again!!! “Food is great and service is great. The only issue I have is your gift card policy between Albany and Saratoga. I’ve had family be told you can use a gift card at either location and I have been told it must be used where it was purchased? My parents bought a gift card at the Albany location for my wife and I. The back of the card had Saratoga on it. Thankfully, we presented the gift card receipt after being told we could only use it in Saratoga when the receipt showed it was purchased in Albany. Thankfully, the server and the manager didn’t give up on the situation and were able to manually enter the card number in despite the magnetic strip on the card not working. Bravo to them! However, the only gift cards you are able to purchase in Albany say Saratoga on the back. So if you have a gift card, you better bring a gift card receipt or you may not be able to use it. I hope you guys look at the policy. My only negative. Other than that sushi is fresh and quick and great service !“

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. The wait staff and chef is just as hospitable, going above and beyond to provide excellent service. The restaurant itself is spotless – cleanliness is a top priority for us, and Bua exceeds our expectations. My husband always opts for the sashimi and often takes home one of their delicious Thai soups. As for me, I love the orange chicken box because it offers a variety of options that never disappoint.

“I attended Skidmore from 1978-1982. Compared to what it was like back then, the dining hall is far and away a 5! It's a massacre. Those giving low ratings have no idea what college dining halls were once like, even at high-priced schools. It's been a huge change that has greatly benefited the younger generations. Be appreciative. If you had to eat the way we used to have to, you would probably be traumatized.It's interesting how it's possible to rate individual buildings on Skidmore campus and not just Skidmore itself.“
