Tin Barn Brewing FLX Brewery • $$

“We drove by and this place is so easy to see from the roadway. We stopped to see what this place was all about. Apparently it was another winery called "Sharkys" or something. The place is huge and maybe too large for this brewery, but it may need the space in the winter months for certain. We stopped here and they said they opened up maybe a year ago if I remember. I got a sample list of beers to sample, then ending up with a hazy IPA as always for me.We had food, ordered in the front, and pick it up when your pager goes off. The food was good, the staff was friendly and helpful on any questions, and how about that view, it's incredible from that high up.Overall great stop, will stop again as a great brewery to visit in the area.“

LyonSmith Brewing Co. Brewery • $
2597 Assembly Ave, Keuka Park - 8.97 miles

“This was such a neat place. They also serve wine and liquor, and wine slushies. I did a tasting, some interesting brews, one made without hops but with dandelion's. I'm more of an IPA, they don't have those but they had some good ones. I liked the red ale and a summer one they had. It's family owned, they have games to play while you sit and sip and entertainment/ trivia on the weekend.“

“Favorite FLX brewery! The beer is always delicious and the view is great. We rotate between sitting inside and throwing a frisbee outside. They are always very friendly, especially to our dog. The owner, Ian, is an Eagles fan and talk to us on our first visit 6 years ago. We've come back every year since on our anniversary trip.“

Climbing Bines Hop Farm & Brewery Brewery • $$
511 Hansen Point Rd, Penn Yan - 9.58 miles

“The server was nice but could not operate the wood burner appropriately, so the place was filled with smoke. The beer was delicious, though. We did a flight. The only terrible one was the gluten-free option. The Amber was a super well-balanced, perfect mid-strength beer. We scored a growler of that to take back to our little lakeside cabin. 1 extra star for them trying their best to fix the smokiness.“

Grist Iron Brewing Company Brewery • $$$

“Really loved the beer here and the bands playing (2 different bands in the 2 buildings). The views are spectacular. The heaters over part of the outdoor dining area were perfect because we went on a very busy Saturday. We had a somewhat large group- 16 people and simply called ahead to make sure it was okay. They were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back here with friends/family.“

“My wife and I stopped here while we were touring wineries and breweries. I tried some of their IPAs and their Oktoberfest, and she got the seasonal pumpkin ale. We went back two nights later and had more. The beer was very good, and they had a great variety. The service was great, and the venue was really cool with both an indoor and outdoor area. They have an amazing view of Seneca Lake too, and we got to see an awesome sunset. We did not try their food, but they do have a pretty good menu. They've got some pretty cool merch for sale too.“

Glass of Beer

“This place caught my wife's eye while we were heading to our next stop. So we stopped. It's a bit confusing on how to enter the place. Could go in the back or the side, but the front is the main entrance. It's a house turned into a brewery. But not any brewery like a brew pub from over the pond where the beer is served at room temperature v/s sitting in a cooler getting cold. She had a Red Ale and I had a Pale Ale, the Pale Ale didn't taste like a juicy drink that I'm used to having here in the states. The room temperature didn't bother me. I think I just liked or enjoyed the red ale a lot more than my beer. The atmosphere inside is really cool. Reminds me what a pub would look like in the UK somewhere. We were caught by the place in the back called the Snug. We went in the back to enjoy our beers and get some photos. Had asked someone to help us take a photo. The Snug we learned is a place where people rent out for special events. It has a nice outlook in the back of the yard overlooking the lake. I highly recommend stopping here, it was a good stop.“
