The food was delicious, the service/hospitality fabulous and I was genuinely impressed by how clean and fresh the place both looked and felt.The aesthetics of the Rooster coupled with the great food and service are an tremendous combo.“

“I had a wonderful meal and experience on Sunday night at Wm Farmer and Sons that exceeded my expectations. Visiting from San Francisco, and having read reviews that highlighted a lot of praise and a couple of gripes, I was cautiously optimistic. While the restaurant was certainly not crowded at 8 PM on a rainy Sunday night, it had a wonderful ambience with the fire visibly roaring and the ability to choose my seat, graciously offered by host Dave. Having the ability to start at the bar and order a cocktail before settling in for dinner was a plus and seeing a South African Pinotage as one of the reds by the glass got me going right away! My server, Lynette, was friendly, poised, articulate, knowledgeable,and patiently highlighted the menu, including minute details of the ingredients from memory. She was the glue that held the entire experience together. I started with the oysters that were nicely small, expertly shucked, and not as briny as I expected (which is a great thing), followed by grilled bread and rosemary butter that was delicious in its own right. I coupled that with their very generous steak tartare over, I believe, minced beats, topped with a quail egg, that perfectly satiated me. I finished with a warm sticky toffee dessert topped with olive oil ice cream, and an expertly crafted white Negroni. Judging from the happy conversation, joyful sharing of each other's plates, and nods of approval from the two couples sitting next to me, there was ample agreement that Wm Farmer and Sons hit it out of the ballpark that night! “

I also rent from him-• MY OPINIONS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PERSONAL LIFE- ITS ALL MY TRUTH AND MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES •I came in for a job from someone who knows the owner Vitaliy- she lived in one of his apartments years ago and was telling me about how great of a person he is and how he has a few gigs and I’d enjoy working for him. So I went and filled an application out for the Home Health Care Aide and I did my interviews and met with the manager Brooke and started not to soon after- one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was going in and filling the application out - Vitaliy and his managers Brooke and Julie are all the best people to work for! They actually acknowledged me not even a month into working for him about how good I’m doing - that meant everything to me, the fact that they pay attention and care about their employees and clients and also customers is a beautiful rare thing.The restaurant is a very homey place. I’m new and my husband is a veteran and he has a hard time being around people and even he loves it. My kids love going to play ping pong while the adults play pool and listen to music. It’s just an amazing atmosphere with people who make you feel like your family. My family lost everything to hurricane Ian in Florida and had to move back and the employees AND THE CUSTOMERS ( I’m telling you once you meet them and they like you and you them it’s a family - they look out for each other!! ) all rallied up to make sure we have what we needed for our apartment.I am a very outspoken, outgoing, blunt, rare individual and I’m very opinionated- I would not lie to anyone about anything- but I PROMISE you that you will love the Bar/Restaurant and everyone inside it.Thank You to everyone for making us feel welcomed! “I ate here for brunch, and the food was delicious! The restaurant has a cozy, warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was extremely busy as there was a show happening so it took a while for us to get our food. However it was not an issue for us as we were not in a rush and the prosecco kept flowing!“

“Was staying in Cairo at the Catskills Getaway cabins, and got in after dark the first night. Didn't feel like cooking, so we found this unexpected gem along the Catskill Creek. There was only another party of 3 at the bar at the time, however the bartender quickly warmed up to us and had great conversation throughout. We started with the DJ Shrimp. Delicious, just the right bit of kick (spice heat). Then we had Chicken Milanese, and a rotating seasonal pasta called Tuscan Sausage Fusilli with EVOO, spinach and sun dried tomatoes, with a Side of focaccia bread. All were delicious, and very filling. Everything was perfect for a Birthday dinner. The liquor drinks were kind of pricey, but I should have expected that for a double Bulleit I suppose. All in all, absolutely try this gem if you come across it, you will not be disappointed for quality and ambiance.“

“Thoroughly enjoyed an excellent evening after walking in without reservations and sat at the bar during restaurant week and was met by a friendly and attentive staff. Presented with a menu that had a plethora of different and varied options including chicken, pasta, beef, etc. & I can only say that I could have ordered any item without hesitation merely from the description offered. The first course consisted of choosing soup or salad and I chose Cesaer salad while my company chose soup that must have been phenomenal for he put his spoon down and drank directly from the bowl. For the second course I went with the tortellini while my friend had the beef. Both were worth the trip. The bartender offered light and amusing banter and the whole staff made us feel as if we had known them and been patronising their fine dining establishment for years. Dessert came and I had the peach sorbet while my friend enjoyed the tira misu to compliment a perfect dining experience that was as impromptu and spontaneous as one could have. “I have had back to back 5 star experiences at The Maker. The service impeccable yet incredibly kind and cheerful. The food is off the hook. The octopus ? was transcendent. The eggplant terrine perfection. I’ve had the pleasure of tasting 5 different pasta dishes all of them delicious and not just the sauces the homemade pasta was light and succulent. Truly I love this place.“
