“We were passing by and saw this place; the burger was delicious, the beer and the cider were also really good. We ordered the blueberries cheese cake and it was the best cheesecake I have ever had, not too sweet and with real fresh blueberries. We will come back guys, we are happy to find a new place in this area. The music was really good too.“
“Sue’s accommodated our club dinner and although the service was a bit slow, everything came out on point and delicious. I had a fantastic Cobb salad and munched away with superbly grilled chicken and the eggs were unbelievable…didn’t know food could be so excitable especially since they make their own pasta! Everything was so fresh!! ?thanks to everyone for a great night out! Hopefully we will be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free but the salad worked!“

“Miss Lucy's Kitchen offers an exceptional dining experience that begins with an exquisite selection of appetizers. The Roasted Bone Marrow, topped with a Foie Gras Crust and served with Shallot Apple Marmalade, Chives, and Grilled Bread, is a true culinary masterpiece. The rich, buttery marrow, complemented by the luxurious foie gras, creates a flavor profile that is both indulgent and unforgettable. Equally impressive is the Roasted Beet Salad, a delightful blend of tender beets, peppery arugula, sweet candied almonds, creamy labneh, and tangy balsamic vinaigrette. This salad is not just a treat for the palate but also a feast for the eyes, beautifully presented with vibrant colors and textures.Following these outstanding starters, the drink selection at Miss Lucy's Kitchen elevates the dining experience further. Their margaritas are particularly noteworthy, expertly crafted with a balance of sweetness, tartness, and the perfect kick of tequila. Each sip complements the flavors of the meal, refreshing the palate and enhancing the overall enjoyment of the cuisine. The main course offerings continue the trend of excellence. The Boneless Ribeye, accompanied by Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, and a rich Port Garlic Demi Glaze, is cooked to perfection. The steak is juicy and flavorful, and the demi glaze adds a depth of flavor that is both sophisticated and satisfying. Another highlight is the Tagliatelle Frutti Di Mare, a stunning seafood dish featuring Scallops, Lobster, Cod, and P.E.I. Mussels, all enveloped in a creamy Lemon Cream Sauce. The pasta is perfectly al dente, and each element of the dish contributes to a harmonious and luxurious seafood experience. The service here is prompt and efficient, yet never rushed. The waitstaff possess a keen understanding of the menu, offering insightful recommendations and answering any questions with expertise. Their attentiveness ensures that your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable, with every need met promptly. In every aspect, from the initial appetizers to the main courses and drinks, Miss Lucy's Kitchen excels.“
“Really good food, the octopus was probably the best I've had. I had the braised beef my wife the salmon. So very good. Service was great and a very attractive and rustic restaurant. We did get a voucher for 2 glasses of wine for staying at Diamond Mills making it a very affordable high class dinner. The exec chef delivered our appetizer and spent a few minutes speaking about the establishment.“
“This place is foodie HEAVEN! Everything you want from a great restaurant this place has. Nice and tucked away off a main road. You immediately feel like you're dining inside of somebody's home. Gorgeous inside and outside seating. Changing menu always exquisitely thought out. The chef is always bringing new recipes/ingredients from places he travels to. This place is the best way to have a fine dining experience!“
“This place has a classic American tavern feel. There is bar seating and table seating. There are a couple of sections (a big back section which is where our group of 11 was seated). Food was delicious and they had a couple of options - bar snacks, appetizers, salads/soup, mains. The price of main entrees run from $20-$30. Service was also great.“
“We returned to Flatiron for the first time in over a year and were not disappointed. Flatiron offers well-executed straightforward fare, with a dash of their own personality. Steaks are accompanied by a sauce of your choice, all very good (the habanero is my favorite). The burgers are flavorful, with the merguez spiced lamb-burger a particular treat. Service is friendly, the food arrives in a timely manner, and the bar has a good variety of cocktails and beers. The whole experience is fairly priced. All told, Flatiron remains a reliable fixture in the region if you're looking for a good steak or a just a few apps and a beer.“
“The four of us had a wonderful evening at the Universal Cafe last night. Dinner was absolutely delicious, creatively composed, and I can’t wait to return. Located in Germantown, NY only 30 minutes away from Rhinebeck, it’s a hidden gem that was the perfect spot on a cold Winter’s night. I started my meal with thinly sliced sweet Cara Cara oranges on a pool of peppery olive oil with crushed pistachios served ice cold… so refreshing after the decadent pâté appetizer. My cod entree was beautifully cooked and served with a silky root vegetable purée. The chocolate pot de crème finished the meal and was so good. The portions were generous, the prices very reasonable, and our server was super charming. Thank you for a wonderful night!“
“The squash was one of the best tasting dishes I had during a weekend upstate. Don’t miss the mayana chocolate bars—sometimes in the display case and sometimes out in the grocery store aisle. I’m obsessed.Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious premade vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options, including the fried chicken.“
“We enjoy the Reservoir Inn for special occasions. Since we had our wedding reception there we try to go every year for our anniversary (and occasion birthdays). This year we had an absolutely delicious jambalaya. The wait staff. Is always excellent and we can always depend on great food!“
“John & Sara Smith are the perfect team to plan your next event. Their expertise made the entire process effortless and the end result was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance was simply gorgeous and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to throw an unforgettable party.“
“Was staying in Cairo at the Catskills Getaway cabins, and got in after dark the first night. Didn't feel like cooking, so we found this unexpected gem along the Catskill Creek. There was only another party of 3 at the bar at the time, however the bartender quickly warmed up to us and had great conversation throughout. We started with the DJ Shrimp. Delicious, just the right bit of kick (spice heat). Then we had Chicken Milanese, and a rotating seasonal pasta called Tuscan Sausage Fusilli with EVOO, spinach and sun dried tomatoes, with a Side of focaccia bread. All were delicious, and very filling. Everything was perfect for a Birthday dinner. The liquor drinks were kind of pricey, but I should have expected that for a double Bulleit I suppose. All in all, absolutely try this gem if you come across it, you will not be disappointed for quality and ambiance.“
“Had a wonderful dinner at New York Restaurant on Friday. The smoked carrot appetizer was unique and delicious, our chicken schnitzel with potato gratin was perfect and our chocolate pudding pie dessert was decadent!Service was attentive and atmosphere was pleasant and upbeat.Welcome back N.Y. We’ll definitely return!“
“This was our second visit to Miss Lucy's. We were here in 2021 , too. We had the PLT which was like a BLT but with pork belly. It had a nice sauce on it. We had it with fries. We share the same with a bowl of tomato bisque. It was creamy and tasty. Don't miss it if you like tomato bisque. The homemade lemonade complements it will. We ended with sharing mocha crème d'pot. The creamy top was awesome for both of us. I am not a fan of coffee so I didn't eat the bottom portion of the dessert. The service was good and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.“
