“Youngs Farm is an absolute delight—a charming, historic spot near Oyster Bay that’s perfect for a weekend visit. Their farm shop is filled with delicious baked goods (don’t miss the cranberry scone—truly the best I’ve ever had), along with pies, cookies, jams, sauces, and fresh local produce.

Beyond the food, they also carry beautiful ceramic cookware, table runners, tablecloths, and all sorts of thoughtful kitchen and home knick-knacks—all at very reasonable prices. It’s such a lovely place to bring kids: you can stroll through the sunflower field or enjoy a laid-back picnic with the goodies you just picked up.

It can get a bit crowded, especially on weekends, but the charm and quality more than make up for it. A must-visit if you’re in the area!“

“Without a doubt the closest cooking to remind me of home. Catfish and Shrimp pivots was amazing. Crawfish Etoufee, chicken and sausage gumbo and chicken sausage and shrimp jambalaya was spot on. “We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! “Nice place to stop in if you’re looking for a laid back environment. A very casual sit down restaurant. Love the rustic style design of the place. Beef burger is amazing. Fiancee got the bean stalk burger (which is typically a vegan option but asked for beef) and said it was delicious. Both burgers were cooked to what we requested. Also amazing fried pickles! “We arrived at Lisbon Cafe at 3:00 pm, atfter lunch hour rush and we had the luxury of dining al fresco. The staff were friendly, attentive and knew the details of the menu items.
We ordered three appetizers - Grilled Calamari, Bolinhos e bacalhau, Portuguese clams. The sauce of the clams was out of this world! We mopped them out with soft bread! The combination of clam and pork sausage was perfect! The grilled calamari paired well with peppers and tomatoes.

The cod cakes were melt in your mouth soft.

For main, we ordered Feijoada de Mariscos, Bacalhau a Lagareiro, and Chanfana Cabrito (Braised Goat). The meal was served with salads and rice. We ate everything with gusto and with delightful satisfaction!

Recently she baked me my wedding cake and it was completely personalized and unique to all the requests that myself and my wife requested. She even personally delivered it to the wedding venue and coordinated with venue staff on the day of my wedding. I highly recommend stopping in for a variety of brownies/cookies/etc or for bigger event like a wedding cake!“

“Avellion's pizza is delicous. My husband is a pizza snob and we found Avellino's and he has been loving it. We used them for an event and they were able to deliver the pizzas to the Garden City Mini Golf Course and everything was perfect. They were on time, the pizza tasted great and great customer service. Will definitely be using them again.“

“This store has been our favorite family store for years, ever since my firstborn was a toddler (and now he’s over 10!). This place is like a mini amusement park for kids. There are buttons to press, characters to wave to, music, animatronics: it keeps them entertained while I try to get some shopping done.

We especially love their seasonal events. Around Halloween, they always have cute themed setups and candy stops for the kids, which makes every visit feel like a little adventure. And let’s not forget the ice cream: honestly, that’s our main reason for coming sometimes! The vanilla is a classic, and the rewards program lets you collect points for free coffee or a sweet treat, which is a total mom-win after a long day.

While I don’t do my main grocery haul here (they don’t carry everything), it’s an easy, enjoyable shopping trip, low-stress and family-friendly. Their sushi is surprisingly decent and made fresh on-site. They also have a hot food bar, some items are hit or miss for my taste, but the soups are consistently good.

We’ve also enjoyed the lobster rolls and the fun weekend BBQ setup outside in the summer - burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill, which adds to the experience.

The staff is always friendly, and the whole store just has a warm, welcoming vibe. If you’re a parent on Long Island, this is definitely a spot to check out (especially if your kids are cranky and you need coffee and entertainment in one place!).“

“I just had my daughter’s baptism at Fabio’s. From the food to the service everything was amazing! My guests were raving about the food. We did family style and it was more than enough food. We even had leftovers to take home! Fabio went above and beyond helping us set up the decorations the night before my party. We never felt rushed (we were there til 1am). “I love the mini coffee cakes! You would never know they are gluten free! Moist and just the right amount of sweetness. Made with wholesome ingredients also which is THE most important to me. No preservatives, can freeze them and then just pop in microwave for a bit and voila! Fresh delish snack!“
